وَٱلَّذِينَ
And those who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe
بِٱللَّهِ
in Allah
وَرُسُلِهِۦٓ
and His Messengers,
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
[those]
هُمُ
they
ٱلصِّدِّيقُونَ
(are) the truthful
وَٱلشُّهَدَآءُ
and the martyrs,
عِندَ (are) with رَبِّهِمْ their Lord. لَهُمْ For them أَجْرُهُمْ (is) their reward وَنُورُهُمْ and their light. وَٱلَّذِينَ But those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and deny
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Verses, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those أَصْحَٰبُ (are the) companions ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) the Hellfire. ٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ Know أَنَّمَا that ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world لَعِبٌ (is) play وَلَهْوٌ and amusement وَزِينَةٌ and adornment وَتَفَاخُرٌۢ and boasting بَيْنَكُمْ among you وَتَكَاثُرٌ and competition in increase فِى of ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ the wealth
وَٱلْأَوْلَٰدِ and the children, كَمَثَلِ like (the) example غَيْثٍ (of) a rain, أَعْجَبَ pleases ٱلْكُفَّارَ the tillers نَبَاتُهُۥ its growth; ثُمَّ then يَهِيجُ it dries فَتَرَىٰهُ and you see it
مُصْفَرًّا turning yellow; ثُمَّ then يَكُونُ becomes حُطَٰمًا debris. وَفِى And in ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the Hereafter عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment شَدِيدٌ severe وَمَغْفِرَةٌ and forgiveness
مِّنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah وَرِضْوَٰنٌ and Pleasure. وَمَا But not ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ (is) the life ٱلدُّنْيَآ (of) the world إِلَّا except مَتَٰعُ (the) enjoyment ٱلْغُرُورِ (of) delusion.
سَابِقُوٓا۟ Race إِلَىٰ to مَغْفِرَةٍ (the) forgiveness مِّن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord وَجَنَّةٍ and a Garden عَرْضُهَا its width كَعَرْضِ (is) like (the) width ٱلسَّمَآءِ (of) the heaven
وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, أُعِدَّتْ prepared لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرُسُلِهِۦ and His Messengers. ذَٰلِكَ That فَضْلُ (is the) Bounty
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, يُؤْتِيهِ He gives مَن (to) whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah ذُو (is) the Possessor of Bounty, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْفَضْلِ (is) the Possessor of Bounty, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great. مَآ Not أَصَابَ strikes
مِن any مُّصِيبَةٍ disaster فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَلَا and not فِىٓ in أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves, إِلَّا but فِى in كِتَٰبٍ a Register مِّن before *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
قَبْلِ before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] أَن that نَّبْرَأَهَآ We bring it into existence. إِنَّ Indeed, ذَٰلِكَ that عَلَى for ٱللَّهِ Allah يَسِيرٌ (is) easy. لِّكَيْلَا So that you may not
تَأْسَوْا۟ grieve عَلَىٰ over مَا what فَاتَكُمْ has escaped you, وَلَا and (do) not تَفْرَحُوا۟ exult بِمَآ at what ءَاتَىٰكُمْ He has given you. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah
لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ love كُلَّ every مُخْتَالٍ self-deluded فَخُورٍ boaster, ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يَبْخَلُونَ are stingy وَيَأْمُرُونَ and enjoin
ٱلنَّاسَ (on) the people بِٱلْبُخْلِ stinginess. وَمَن And whoever يَتَوَلَّ turns away, فَإِنَّ then indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah, هُوَ He ٱلْغَنِىُّ (is) Free of need, ٱلْحَمِيدُ the Praiseworthy.
