ثُمَّ
Then
يَوْمَ
(on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection,
يُخْزِيهِمْ
He will disgrace them
وَيَقُولُ
and say,
أَيْنَ
"Where
شُرَكَآءِىَ
(are) My partners
ٱلَّذِينَ
those (for) whom
كُنتُمْ you used (to) تُشَٰٓقُّونَ oppose فِيهِمْ [in them]?" قَالَ Will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge, إِنَّ "Indeed, ٱلْخِزْىَ the disgrace,
ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day وَٱلسُّوٓءَ and evil عَلَى (are) upon ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers" ٱلَّذِينَ Those whom - تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ take them in death ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels
ظَالِمِىٓ (while) wronging أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves, فَأَلْقَوُا۟ then they would offer ٱلسَّلَمَ the submission, مَا "Not كُنَّا we were نَعْمَلُ doing مِن any سُوٓءٍۭ evil." بَلَىٰٓ Nay,
إِنَّ indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلِيمٌۢ (is) All-Knower بِمَا of what كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَعْمَلُونَ do. فَٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ So enter أَبْوَٰبَ (the) gates جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell
خَٰلِدِينَ (to) abide forever فِيهَا in it. فَلَبِئْسَ Surely, wretched مَثْوَى (is the) abode ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ (of) the arrogant. وَقِيلَ And it will be said
لِلَّذِينَ to those who ٱتَّقَوْا۟ fear Allah, مَاذَآ "What أَنزَلَ has your Lord sent down?" *[meaning includes next or prev. word] رَبُّكُمْ has your Lord sent down?" *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَالُوا۟ They will say, خَيْرًا "Good." لِّلَّذِينَ For those who أَحْسَنُوا۟ do good فِى in
هَٰذِهِ this ٱلدُّنْيَا world حَسَنَةٌ (is) a good, وَلَدَارُ and the home ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ of the Hereafter خَيْرٌ (is) better. وَلَنِعْمَ And surely excellent دَارُ (is) the home ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ (of) the righteous.
جَنَّٰتُ Gardens عَدْنٍ (of) Eden - يَدْخُلُونَهَا which they will enter, تَجْرِى flows مِن from تَحْتِهَا underneath them ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ the rivers.
لَهُمْ For them فِيهَا therein مَا (will be) whatever يَشَآءُونَ they wish. كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يَجْزِى Allah rewards *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ Allah rewards *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous,
ٱلَّذِينَ Those whom تَتَوَفَّىٰهُمُ take them in death ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels طَيِّبِينَ (when they are) pure يَقُولُونَ saying, سَلَٰمٌ "Peace عَلَيْكُمُ (be) upon you.
ٱدْخُلُوا۟ Enter ٱلْجَنَّةَ Paradise بِمَا for what كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَعْمَلُونَ do." هَلْ Do يَنظُرُونَ they wait إِلَّآ except أَن that
تَأْتِيَهُمُ (should) come to them ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ the Angels أَوْ or يَأْتِىَ (should) come أَمْرُ (the) Command رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord? كَذَٰلِكَ Thus فَعَلَ did ٱلَّذِينَ those who مِن (were) before them. *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
قَبْلِهِمْ (were) before them. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَمَا And not ظَلَمَهُمُ wronged them ٱللَّهُ Allah وَلَٰكِن but كَانُوٓا۟ they were أَنفُسَهُمْ themselves يَظْلِمُونَ wronging.
فَأَصَابَهُمْ Then struck them سَيِّـَٔاتُ (the) evil (results) مَا (of) what عَمِلُوا۟ they did, وَحَاقَ and surrounded بِهِم them مَّا what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) بِهِۦ [of it] يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock.
كُنتُمْ you used (to) تُشَٰٓقُّونَ oppose فِيهِمْ [in them]?" قَالَ Will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who أُوتُوا۟ were given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge, إِنَّ "Indeed, ٱلْخِزْىَ the disgrace,
