فَإِذَا
And when
ٱسْتَوَيْتَ
you (have) boarded
أَنتَ
you,
وَمَن
and whoever
مَّعَكَ
(is) with you
عَلَى
[on]
ٱلْفُلْكِ
the ship
فَقُلِ
then say,
ٱلْحَمْدُ
"Praise
لِلَّهِ
(be) to Allah,
ٱلَّذِى
Who
نَجَّىٰنَا (has) saved us مِنَ from ٱلْقَوْمِ the people - ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers." وَقُل And say, رَّبِّ "My Lord, أَنزِلْنِى cause me to land مُنزَلًا (at) a landing place مُّبَارَكًا blessed, وَأَنتَ and You
خَيْرُ (are) the Best ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ (of) those who cause to land.'" إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَٰتٍ surely (are) Signs, وَإِن and indeed, كُنَّا We are لَمُبْتَلِينَ surely testing. ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced
مِنۢ after them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَعْدِهِمْ after them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَرْنًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another. فَأَرْسَلْنَا And We sent فِيهِمْ among them رَسُولًا a Messenger مِّنْهُمْ from themselves أَنِ [that] ٱعْبُدُوا۟ "Worship
ٱللَّهَ Allah; مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنْ (is) any إِلَٰهٍ god غَيْرُهُۥٓ other than Him. أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear?" وَقَالَ And said ٱلْمَلَأُ the chiefs مِن of قَوْمِهِ his people
ٱلَّذِينَ who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and denied بِلِقَآءِ (the) meeting ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter, وَأَتْرَفْنَٰهُمْ while We had given them luxury فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world,
مَا "Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but بَشَرٌ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you. يَأْكُلُ He eats مِمَّا of what تَأْكُلُونَ you eat مِنْهُ [from it], وَيَشْرَبُ and he drinks
مِمَّا of what تَشْرَبُونَ you drink. وَلَئِنْ And surely if أَطَعْتُم you obey بَشَرًا a man مِّثْلَكُمْ like you, إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you إِذًا then لَّخَٰسِرُونَ surely (will be) losers.
أَيَعِدُكُمْ Does he promise you - أَنَّكُمْ that you إِذَا when مِتُّمْ you are dead وَكُنتُمْ and you become تُرَابًا dust وَعِظَٰمًا and bones أَنَّكُم that you مُّخْرَجُونَ (will be) brought forth?
هَيْهَاتَ Far-(fetched), هَيْهَاتَ far-(fetched) لِمَا is what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised! إِنْ Not هِىَ it إِلَّا (is) but حَيَاتُنَا our life
ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world, نَمُوتُ we die وَنَحْيَا and we live, وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (will be) resurrected. إِنْ Not هُوَ (is) he إِلَّا but
رَجُلٌ a man ٱفْتَرَىٰ who (has) invented عَلَى about ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie, وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we لَهُۥ (in) him بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (are) believers." قَالَ He said, رَبِّ "My Lord!
ٱنصُرْنِى Help me بِمَا because كَذَّبُونِ they deny me." قَالَ He said, عَمَّا "After a little while *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَلِيلٍ "After a little while *[meaning includes next or prev. word] لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ surely they will become نَٰدِمِينَ regretful."
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ So seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth, فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ and We made them غُثَآءً (as) rubbish of dead leaves. فَبُعْدًا So away لِّلْقَوْمِ with the people -
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers. ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced مِنۢ after them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَعْدِهِمْ after them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قُرُونًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another.
