وَمِنْ
And among
ءَايَٰتِهِ
His Signs
ٱلْجَوَارِ
(are) the ships
فِى
in
ٱلْبَحْرِ
the sea,
كَٱلْأَعْلَٰمِ
like [the] mountains.
إِن
If
يَشَأْ
He wills,
يُسْكِنِ
He can cause the wind to become still *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلرِّيحَ
He can cause the wind to become still *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
فَيَظْلَلْنَ then they would remain رَوَاكِدَ motionless عَلَىٰ on ظَهْرِهِۦٓ its back. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّكُلِّ for everyone صَبَّارٍ patient شَكُورٍ (and) grateful.
أَوْ Or يُوبِقْهُنَّ He could destroy them بِمَا for what كَسَبُوا۟ they have earned; وَيَعْفُ but He pardons عَن [from] كَثِيرٍ much. وَيَعْلَمَ And may know ٱلَّذِينَ those who
يُجَٰدِلُونَ dispute فِىٓ concerning ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Signs مَا (that) not لَهُم for them مِّن any مَّحِيصٍ place of refuge. فَمَآ So whatever أُوتِيتُم you are given مِّن of شَىْءٍ a thing, فَمَتَٰعُ (is) but a passing enjoyment
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ (for) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. وَمَا But what عِندَ (is) with ٱللَّهِ Allah خَيْرٌ (is) better وَأَبْقَىٰ and more lasting لِلَّذِينَ for those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَلَىٰ and upon رَبِّهِمْ their Lord
يَتَوَكَّلُونَ put (their) trust. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يَجْتَنِبُونَ avoid كَبَٰٓئِرَ (the) greater ٱلْإِثْمِ sins وَٱلْفَوَٰحِشَ and the immoralities, وَإِذَا and when *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَا and when *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
غَضِبُوا۟ they are angry, هُمْ they يَغْفِرُونَ forgive, وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ respond لِرَبِّهِمْ to their Lord وَأَقَامُوا۟ and establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ prayer
وَأَمْرُهُمْ and their affairs شُورَىٰ (are conducted by) consultation بَيْنَهُمْ among them, وَمِمَّا and from what رَزَقْنَٰهُمْ We have provided them يُنفِقُونَ they spend, وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who, إِذَآ when أَصَابَهُمُ strikes them
ٱلْبَغْىُ tyranny, هُمْ they يَنتَصِرُونَ defend themselves. وَجَزَٰٓؤُا۟ (The) recompense سَيِّئَةٍ (of) an evil سَيِّئَةٌ (is) an evil مِّثْلُهَا like it. فَمَنْ But whoever عَفَا pardons
وَأَصْلَحَ and makes reconciliation, فَأَجْرُهُۥ then his reward عَلَى (is) on ٱللَّهِ Allah. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He لَا (does) not يُحِبُّ like ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers. وَلَمَنِ And surely whosoever ٱنتَصَرَ defends himself
بَعْدَ after ظُلْمِهِۦ he has been wronged, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those مَا not عَلَيْهِم (is) against them مِّن any سَبِيلٍ way. إِنَّمَا Only ٱلسَّبِيلُ the way عَلَى against
ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَظْلِمُونَ oppress ٱلنَّاسَ the people وَيَبْغُونَ and rebel فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ right. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those
لَهُمْ for them عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful. وَلَمَن And whoever صَبَرَ (is) patient وَغَفَرَ and forgives, إِنَّ indeed, ذَٰلِكَ that لَمِنْ (is) surely of عَزْمِ matters of determination. *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلْأُمُورِ matters of determination. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَمَن And whoever يُضْلِلِ Allah lets go astray *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَمَا then not لَهُۥ for him مِن any وَلِىٍّ protector مِّنۢ after Him. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَعْدِهِۦ after Him. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَتَرَى And you will see
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers, لَمَّا when رَأَوُا۟ they see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment يَقُولُونَ saying, هَلْ "Is إِلَىٰ (there) for مَرَدٍّ return مِّن any سَبِيلٍ way?"
