يُرِيدُونَ
They want
أَن

يُطْفِـُٔوا۟
extinguish
نُورَ
light
ٱللَّهِ
of Allah
بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ
with their mouths,
وَيَأْبَى
but refuses
ٱللَّهُ
Allah
إِلَّآ
except
أَن
to
يُتِمَّ perfect نُورَهُۥ His Light وَلَوْ even if كَرِهَ dislike (it) ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers هُوَ He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَرْسَلَ has sent
رَسُولَهُۥ His Messenger بِٱلْهُدَىٰ with the guidance وَدِينِ and the religion ٱلْحَقِّ (of) [the] truth, لِيُظْهِرَهُۥ to manifest it عَلَى over ٱلدِّينِ religions
كُلِّهِۦ all of it. وَلَوْ Even if كَرِهَ dislike (it) ٱلْمُشْرِكُونَ the polytheists. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you ٱلَّذِينَ who believe!
ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believe. إِنَّ Indeed, كَثِيرًا many مِّنَ of ٱلْأَحْبَارِ the rabbis وَٱلرُّهْبَانِ and the monks لَيَأْكُلُونَ surely eat
أَمْوَٰلَ (the) wealth ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ in falsehood, وَيَصُدُّونَ and hinder عَن from سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who
يَكْنِزُونَ hoard ٱلذَّهَبَ the gold وَٱلْفِضَّةَ and the silver, وَلَا and (do) not يُنفِقُونَهَا spend it فِى in
سَبِيلِ (the) way ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah, فَبَشِّرْهُم [so] give them tidings بِعَذَابٍ of a punishment أَلِيمٍ painful. يَوْمَ (The) Day يُحْمَىٰ it will be heated عَلَيْهَا [on it]
فِى in نَارِ the Fire جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell, فَتُكْوَىٰ and will be branded بِهَا with it جِبَاهُهُمْ their foreheads وَجُنُوبُهُمْ and their flanks
وَظُهُورُهُمْ and their backs, هَٰذَا "This مَا (is) what كَنَزْتُمْ you hoarded لِأَنفُسِكُمْ for yourselves, فَذُوقُوا۟ so taste مَا what كُنتُمْ you used to
تَكْنِزُونَ hoard." إِنَّ Indeed, عِدَّةَ (the) number ٱلشُّهُورِ (of) the months عِندَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah ٱثْنَا (is) twelve *[meaning includes next word] عَشَرَ (is) twelve *[meaning includes prev. word]
شَهْرًا months فِى in كِتَٰبِ (the) ordinance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَوْمَ (from the) Day خَلَقَ He created ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth; مِنْهَآ of them,
أَرْبَعَةٌ four حُرُمٌ (are) sacred. ذَٰلِكَ That ٱلدِّينُ (is) the religion ٱلْقَيِّمُ the upright, فَلَا so (do) not تَظْلِمُوا۟ wrong فِيهِنَّ therein
أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves. وَقَٰتِلُوا۟ And fight ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ the polytheists كَآفَّةً all together, كَمَا as
يُقَٰتِلُونَكُمْ they fight you كَآفَّةً all together. وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ And know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah مَعَ (is) with ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous.
