وَكَمْ
And how many
أَهْلَكْنَا
We destroyed
قَبْلَهُم
before them
مِّن
of
قَرْنٍ
a generation,
هُمْ
they
أَشَدُّ
(were) stronger
مِنْهُم
than them
بَطْشًا
(in) power.
فَنَقَّبُوا۟
so they explored
فِى throughout ٱلْبِلَٰدِ the lands. هَلْ Is (there) مِن any مَّحِيصٍ place of escape? إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَذِكْرَىٰ surely, is a reminder لِمَن for (one) who,
كَانَ is - لَهُۥ for him قَلْبٌ a heart أَوْ or أَلْقَى (who) gives ear *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلسَّمْعَ (who) gives ear *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَهُوَ while he شَهِيدٌ (is) a witness. وَلَقَدْ And certainly, خَلَقْنَا We created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between both of them فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍ periods, وَمَا and (did) not مَسَّنَا touch Us
مِن any لُّغُوبٍ fatigue. فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient عَلَىٰ over مَا what يَقُولُونَ they say وَسَبِّحْ and glorify بِحَمْدِ (the) praise رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord,
قَبْلَ before طُلُوعِ (the) rising ٱلشَّمْسِ (of) the sun وَقَبْلَ and before ٱلْغُرُوبِ the setting, وَمِنَ And of ٱلَّيْلِ the night فَسَبِّحْهُ glorify Him
وَأَدْبَٰرَ and after ٱلسُّجُودِ the prostration. وَٱسْتَمِعْ And listen! يَوْمَ (The) Day يُنَادِ will call ٱلْمُنَادِ the caller مِن from مَّكَانٍ a place قَرِيبٍ near,
يَوْمَ (The) Day يَسْمَعُونَ they will hear ٱلصَّيْحَةَ the Blast بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth. ذَٰلِكَ That يَوْمُ (is the) Day ٱلْخُرُوجِ (of) coming forth. إِنَّا Indeed, We
نَحْنُ [We] نُحْىِۦ [We] give life وَنُمِيتُ and [We] cause death, وَإِلَيْنَا and to Us ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return. يَوْمَ (The) Day تَشَقَّقُ will split ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth
عَنْهُمْ from them, سِرَاعًا hurrying. ذَٰلِكَ That حَشْرٌ (is) a gathering عَلَيْنَا for Us يَسِيرٌ easy. نَّحْنُ We أَعْلَمُ know best بِمَا [of] what يَقُولُونَ they say,
وَمَآ and not أَنتَ (are) you عَلَيْهِم over them بِجَبَّارٍ the one to compel. فَذَكِّرْ But remind بِٱلْقُرْءَانِ with the Quran مَن whoever يَخَافُ fears وَعِيدِ My threat.
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ And those distributing أَمْرًا Command, إِنَّمَا Indeed, what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لَصَادِقٌ (is) surely true, وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلدِّينَ the Judgment لَوَٰقِعٌ (is) surely to occur.

سورة Adh-Dhaariyat
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
وَٱلذَّٰرِيَٰتِ
By those scattering,
ذَرْوًا
dispersing,
فَٱلْحَٰمِلَٰتِ
And those carrying
وِقْرًا
a load,
فَٱلْجَٰرِيَٰتِ
And those sailing
يُسْرًا
(with) ease,
فَٱلْمُقَسِّمَٰتِ And those distributing أَمْرًا Command, إِنَّمَا Indeed, what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لَصَادِقٌ (is) surely true, وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱلدِّينَ the Judgment لَوَٰقِعٌ (is) surely to occur.
