ثُمَّ
Then
أَرْسَلْنَا
We sent
رُسُلَنَا
Our Messengers
تَتْرَا (in) succession. كُلَّ Every time *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَا Every time *[meaning includes next or prev. word] جَآءَ came أُمَّةً (to) a nation رَّسُولُهَا its Messenger, كَذَّبُوهُ they denied him, فَأَتْبَعْنَا so We made (them) follow - بَعْضَهُم some of them بَعْضًا others,
وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ and We made them أَحَادِيثَ narrations. فَبُعْدًا So away لِّقَوْمٍ with a people - لَّا not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe. ثُمَّ Then أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مُوسَىٰ Musa
وَأَخَاهُ and his brother هَٰرُونَ Harun بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا with Our Signs وَسُلْطَٰنٍ and an authority مُّبِينٍ clear إِلَىٰ To فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ and his chiefs,
فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ but they behaved arrogantly وَكَانُوا۟ and they were قَوْمًا a people عَالِينَ haughty. فَقَالُوٓا۟ Then they said, أَنُؤْمِنُ "Shall we believe لِبَشَرَيْنِ (in) two men مِثْلِنَا like ourselves
وَقَوْمُهُمَا while their people لَنَا for us عَٰبِدُونَ (are) slaves." فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا So they denied them فَكَانُوا۟ and they became مِنَ of ٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ those who were destroyed.
وَلَقَدْ And verily, ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَهْتَدُونَ be guided. وَجَعَلْنَا And We made
ٱبْنَ (the) son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam وَأُمَّهُۥٓ and his mother ءَايَةً a Sign, وَءَاوَيْنَٰهُمَآ and We sheltered them إِلَىٰ to رَبْوَةٍ a high ground, ذَاتِ of tranquility *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَرَارٍ of tranquility *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَمَعِينٍ and water springs.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O Messengers! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلرُّسُلُ O Messengers! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] كُلُوا۟ Eat مِنَ of ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ the good things وَٱعْمَلُوا۟ and do صَٰلِحًا righteous (deeds). إِنِّى Indeed, I Am بِمَا of what
تَعْمَلُونَ you do عَلِيمٌ All-Knower. وَإِنَّ And indeed هَٰذِهِۦٓ this, أُمَّتُكُمْ your religion, أُمَّةً (is) religion وَٰحِدَةً one. وَأَنَا۠ And I Am رَبُّكُمْ your Lord,
فَٱتَّقُونِ so fear Me. فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ But they cut off أَمْرَهُم their affair (of unity) بَيْنَهُمْ between them زُبُرًا (into) sects, كُلُّ each حِزْبٍۭ faction بِمَا in what لَدَيْهِمْ they have
فَرِحُونَ rejoicing. فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them فِى in غَمْرَتِهِمْ their confusion حَتَّىٰ until حِينٍ a time. أَيَحْسَبُونَ Do they think أَنَّمَا that what نُمِدُّهُم We extend to them
بِهِۦ [with it] مِن of مَّالٍ wealth وَبَنِينَ and children نُسَارِعُ We hasten لَهُمْ to them فِى in ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ the good? بَل Nay, لَّا not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive.
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who هُم [they] مِّنْ from خَشْيَةِ (the) fear رَبِّهِم (of) their Lord مُّشْفِقُونَ (are) cautious. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they]
بِـَٔايَٰتِ in (the) Signs رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord يُؤْمِنُونَ believe وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they] بِرَبِّهِمْ with their Lord لَا (do) not يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners.
