وَوَهَبْنَا
And We granted
لَهُۥٓ
[to] him
أَهْلَهُۥ
his family
وَمِثْلَهُم
and a like of them
مَّعَهُمْ
with them,
رَحْمَةً
a Mercy
مِّنَّا
from Us
وَذِكْرَىٰ
and a Reminder
لِأُو۟لِى
for those of understanding. *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ
for those of understanding. *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
وَخُذْ "And take بِيَدِكَ in your hand ضِغْثًا a bunch فَٱضْرِب and strike بِّهِۦ with it وَلَا and (do) not تَحْنَثْ break (your) oath." إِنَّا Indeed, We وَجَدْنَٰهُ [We] found him صَابِرًا patient, نِّعْمَ an excellent
ٱلْعَبْدُ slave. إِنَّهُۥٓ Indeed, he أَوَّابٌ repeatedly turned. وَٱذْكُرْ And remember عِبَٰدَنَآ Our slaves إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim وَإِسْحَٰقَ and Isaac وَيَعْقُوبَ and Ayyub, أُو۟لِى possessors
ٱلْأَيْدِى (of) strength وَٱلْأَبْصَٰرِ and vision. إِنَّآ Indeed, We أَخْلَصْنَٰهُم [We] chose them بِخَالِصَةٍ for an exclusive (quality); ذِكْرَى remembrance ٱلدَّارِ (of) the Home.
وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they عِندَنَا to Us لَمِنَ (are) from ٱلْمُصْطَفَيْنَ the chosen ones, ٱلْأَخْيَارِ the best. وَٱذْكُرْ And remember إِسْمَٰعِيلَ Ishmael
وَٱلْيَسَعَ and Elisha وَذَا and Dhul-kifl, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْكِفْلِ and Dhul-kifl, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَكُلٌّ and all مِّنَ (are) from ٱلْأَخْيَارِ the best. هَٰذَا This ذِكْرٌ (is) a Reminder. وَإِنَّ And indeed, لِلْمُتَّقِينَ for the righteous
لَحُسْنَ surely, is a good مَـَٔابٍ place of return, جَنَّٰتِ Gardens عَدْنٍ (of) Eternity, مُّفَتَّحَةً (will be) opened لَّهُمُ for them ٱلْأَبْوَٰبُ the gates. مُتَّكِـِٔينَ Reclining
فِيهَا therein, يَدْعُونَ they will call فِيهَا therein بِفَٰكِهَةٍ for fruit كَثِيرَةٍ many وَشَرَابٍ and drink. وَعِندَهُمْ And with them قَٰصِرَٰتُ (will be) companions of modest gaze *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلطَّرْفِ (will be) companions of modest gaze *[meaning includes next or prev. word] أَتْرَابٌ well-matched. هَٰذَا This مَا (is) what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised لِيَوْمِ for (the) Day ٱلْحِسَابِ (of) Account. إِنَّ Indeed, هَٰذَا this
لَرِزْقُنَا (is) surely Our provision; مَا not لَهُۥ for it مِن any نَّفَادٍ depletion. هَٰذَا This (is so)! وَإِنَّ And indeed, لِلطَّٰغِينَ for the transgressors لَشَرَّ surely (is) an evil مَـَٔابٍ place of return.
جَهَنَّمَ Hell; يَصْلَوْنَهَا they will burn therein فَبِئْسَ and wretched (is) ٱلْمِهَادُ the resting place. هَٰذَا This (is so)! فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ Then let them taste it, حَمِيمٌ boiling fluid
وَغَسَّاقٌ and purulence. وَءَاخَرُ And other مِن of شَكْلِهِۦٓ its type أَزْوَٰجٌ (of various) kinds. هَٰذَا This فَوْجٌ (is) a company
مُّقْتَحِمٌ bursting مَّعَكُمْ (in) with you. لَا No مَرْحَبًۢا welcome بِهِمْ for them. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they صَالُوا۟ (will) burn ٱلنَّارِ (in) the Fire. قَالُوا۟ They say,
بَلْ "Nay! أَنتُمْ You - لَا no مَرْحَبًۢا welcome بِكُمْ for you. أَنتُمْ You قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ brought this لَنَا upon us. فَبِئْسَ So wretched (is) ٱلْقَرَارُ the settlement."
قَالُوا۟ They will say, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord, مَن whoever قَدَّمَ brought لَنَا upon us هَٰذَا this; فَزِدْهُ increase for him عَذَابًا a punishment ضِعْفًا double فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire."
