وَإِذَا
And when
قِيلَ
it is said
لَهُمْ
to them,
تَعَالَوْا۟
"Come,
يَسْتَغْفِرْ
will ask forgiveness
لَكُمْ
for you
رَسُولُ
(the) Messenger
ٱللَّهِ
(of) Allah."
لَوَّوْا۟
They turn aside
رُءُوسَهُمْ
their heads
وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ and you see them يَصُدُّونَ turning away وَهُم while they مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ (are) arrogant. سَوَآءٌ (It) is same عَلَيْهِمْ for them
أَسْتَغْفَرْتَ whether you ask forgiveness لَهُمْ for them أَمْ or لَمْ (do) not تَسْتَغْفِرْ ask forgiveness لَهُمْ for them. لَن Never يَغْفِرَ will forgive ٱللَّهُ Allah لَهُمْ [to] them.
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَا (does) not يَهْدِى guide ٱلْقَوْمَ the people, ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ the defiantly disobedient. هُمُ They ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those who يَقُولُونَ say,
لَا "(Do) not تُنفِقُوا۟ spend عَلَىٰ on مَنْ (those) who عِندَ (are) with رَسُولِ (the) Messenger ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَتَّىٰ until يَنفَضُّوا۟ they disband." وَلِلَّهِ And for Allah
خَزَآئِنُ (are the) treasures ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth, وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites لَا (do) not يَفْقَهُونَ understand.
يَقُولُونَ They say, لَئِن "If رَّجَعْنَآ we return إِلَى to ٱلْمَدِينَةِ Al-Madinah, لَيُخْرِجَنَّ surely, will expel ٱلْأَعَزُّ the more honorable
مِنْهَا from it ٱلْأَذَلَّ the more humble." وَلِلَّهِ But for Allah ٱلْعِزَّةُ (is) the honor وَلِرَسُولِهِۦ and for His Messenger وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ and for the believers, وَلَٰكِنَّ but
ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلَّذِينَ you (who) ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Let) not تُلْهِكُمْ divert you
أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ your wealth وَلَآ and not أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ your children عَن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْ does
ذَٰلِكَ that, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ (are) the losers. وَأَنفِقُوا۟ And spend مِن from مَّا what رَزَقْنَٰكُم We have provided you
مِّن from قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يَأْتِىَ comes أَحَدَكُمُ (to) one of you ٱلْمَوْتُ the death فَيَقُولَ and he says, رَبِّ "My Lord! لَوْلَآ Why not أَخَّرْتَنِىٓ You delay me
إِلَىٰٓ for أَجَلٍ a term قَرِيبٍ near فَأَصَّدَّقَ so I would give charity وَأَكُن and be مِّنَ among ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous." وَلَن But never
يُؤَخِّرَ will (be) delayed ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah نَفْسًا a soul إِذَا when جَآءَ has come أَجَلُهَا its term. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah خَبِيرٌۢ (is) All-Aware بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do.
وَرَأَيْتَهُمْ and you see them يَصُدُّونَ turning away وَهُم while they مُّسْتَكْبِرُونَ (are) arrogant. سَوَآءٌ (It) is same عَلَيْهِمْ for them
