وَمَا
And not
هَٰذِهِ
(is) this
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
life
ٱلدُّنْيَآ
(of) the world
إِلَّا
but
لَهْوٌ
amusement
وَلَعِبٌ
and play.
وَإِنَّ
And indeed,
ٱلدَّارَ
the Home
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ
(of) the Hereafter -
لَهِىَ
surely, it
ٱلْحَيَوَانُ (is) the life, لَوْ if only كَانُوا۟ they يَعْلَمُونَ know. فَإِذَا And when رَكِبُوا۟ they embark فِى [in] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship, دَعَوُا۟ they call ٱللَّهَ Allah
مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) the religion. فَلَمَّا But when نَجَّىٰهُمْ He delivers them إِلَى to ٱلْبَرِّ the land, إِذَا behold, هُمْ they يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners (with Him)
لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ So that they may deny بِمَآ [in] what ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ We have given them, وَلِيَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ and they may enjoy (themselves). فَسَوْفَ But soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know.
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We جَعَلْنَا have made حَرَمًا a Sanctuary ءَامِنًا secure وَيُتَخَطَّفُ while are being taken away ٱلنَّاسُ the people مِنْ around them? *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
حَوْلِهِمْ around them? *[meaning includes next or prev. word] أَفَبِٱلْبَٰطِلِ Then do in (the) falsehood يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe وَبِنِعْمَةِ and in (the) Favor ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah يَكْفُرُونَ they disbelieve?
وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّنِ than (he) who ٱفْتَرَىٰ invents عَلَى against ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًا a lie أَوْ or كَذَّبَ denies بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth لَمَّا when جَآءَهُۥٓ it has come to him.
أَلَيْسَ Is there not فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell مَثْوًى an abode لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers? وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who جَٰهَدُوا۟ strive
فِينَا for Us, لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ We will surely, guide them سُبُلَنَا (to) Our ways. وَإِنَّ And indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah لَمَعَ surely (is) with ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers.
بَعْدِ after *[meaning includes next or prev. word] غَلَبِهِمْ their defeat, سَيَغْلِبُونَ will overcome فِى Within بِضْعِ a few سِنِينَ years. لِلَّهِ For Allah ٱلْأَمْرُ (is) the command
مِن before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلُ before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَمِنۢ and after. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَعْدُ and after. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَيَوْمَئِذٍ And that day يَفْرَحُ will rejoice ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers
بِنَصْرِ With (the) help ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. يَنصُرُ He helps مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful.

سورة Ar-Room
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الٓمٓ
Alif Lam Meem.
غُلِبَتِ
Have been defeated
ٱلرُّومُ
the Romans
فِىٓ
In
أَدْنَى
(the) nearest
ٱلْأَرْضِ
land.
وَهُم
But they,
مِّنۢ
