وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ
And We made them
أَئِمَّةً
leaders,
يَهْدُونَ
they guide
بِأَمْرِنَا
by Our Command.
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ
And We inspired
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them
فِعْلَ
(the) doing
ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ (of) good deeds, وَإِقَامَ and establishment ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ (of) the prayer وَإِيتَآءَ and giving ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ (of) zakah; وَكَانُوا۟ and they were لَنَا of Us
عَٰبِدِينَ worshippers. وَلُوطًا And (to) Lut ءَاتَيْنَٰهُ We gave him حُكْمًا judgment وَعِلْمًا and knowledge, وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ and We saved him مِنَ from
ٱلْقَرْيَةِ the town ٱلَّتِى which كَانَت was تَّعْمَلُ doing ٱلْخَبَٰٓئِثَ wicked deeds. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَوْمَ a people سَوْءٍ evil,
فَٰسِقِينَ defiantly disobedient. وَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُ And We admitted him فِى into رَحْمَتِنَآ Our Mercy. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he مِنَ (was) of ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous.
وَنُوحًا And Nuh, إِذْ when نَادَىٰ he called مِن before, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلُ before, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا so We responded لَهُۥ to him فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ and We saved him
وَأَهْلَهُۥ and his family مِنَ from ٱلْكَرْبِ the affliction, ٱلْعَظِيمِ [the] great. وَنَصَرْنَٰهُ And We helped him مِنَ from ٱلْقَوْمِ the people
ٱلَّذِينَ who كَذَّبُوا۟ denied بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Signs. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they كَانُوا۟ were قَوْمَ a people سَوْءٍ evil, فَأَغْرَقْنَٰهُمْ so We drowned them
أَجْمَعِينَ all. وَدَاوُۥدَ And Dawud وَسُلَيْمَٰنَ and Sulaiman, إِذْ when يَحْكُمَانِ they judged فِى concerning ٱلْحَرْثِ the field,
إِذْ when نَفَشَتْ pastured فِيهِ in it غَنَمُ sheep ٱلْقَوْمِ (of) a people, وَكُنَّا and We were لِحُكْمِهِمْ to their judgment شَٰهِدِينَ witness.
فَفَهَّمْنَٰهَا And We gave understanding of it سُلَيْمَٰنَ (to) Sulaiman, وَكُلًّا and (to) each ءَاتَيْنَا We gave حُكْمًا judgment وَعِلْمًا and knowledge. وَسَخَّرْنَا And We subjected
مَعَ with دَاوُۥدَ Dawud ٱلْجِبَالَ the mountains يُسَبِّحْنَ (to) glorify Our praises وَٱلطَّيْرَ and the birds. وَكُنَّا And We were فَٰعِلِينَ the Doers.
وَعَلَّمْنَٰهُ And We taught him صَنْعَةَ (the) making لَبُوسٍ (of) coats of armor لَّكُمْ for you لِتُحْصِنَكُم to protect you مِّنۢ from بَأْسِكُمْ your battle.
فَهَلْ Then will أَنتُمْ you شَٰكِرُونَ (be) grateful? وَلِسُلَيْمَٰنَ And to Sulaiman, ٱلرِّيحَ the wind عَاصِفَةً forcefully تَجْرِى blowing بِأَمْرِهِۦٓ by his command
إِلَى to ٱلْأَرْضِ the land ٱلَّتِى which بَٰرَكْنَا We blessed فِيهَا [in it]. وَكُنَّا And We are بِكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing عَٰلِمِينَ Knowers.
