قَالَ
He said,
قَدْ
"Verily,
أُجِيبَت
has been answered
دَّعْوَتُكُمَا
(the) invocation of both of you.
فَٱسْتَقِيمَا
So you two (keep to the) straight way.
وَلَا
And (do) not
تَتَّبِعَآنِّ
follow
سَبِيلَ
(the) way
ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know." وَجَٰوَزْنَا And We took across بِبَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel - ٱلْبَحْرَ the sea, فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ and followed them
فِرْعَوْنُ Firaun وَجُنُودُهُۥ and his hosts بَغْيًا (in) rebellion وَعَدْوًا and enmity, حَتَّىٰٓ until إِذَآ when أَدْرَكَهُ overtook him ٱلْغَرَقُ the drowning,
قَالَ he said, ءَامَنتُ "I believe أَنَّهُۥ that لَآ (there is) no إِلَٰهَ god إِلَّا except ٱلَّذِىٓ the One, ءَامَنَتْ in Whom believe *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بِهِۦ in Whom believe *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَنُوٓا۟ the Children of Israel, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ the Children of Israel, *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
وَأَنَا۠ and I am مِنَ of ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ the Muslims." ءَآلْـَٰٔنَ "Now? وَقَدْ And verily, عَصَيْتَ you (had) disobeyed قَبْلُ before وَكُنتَ and you were
مِنَ of ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ the corrupters?" فَٱلْيَوْمَ So today نُنَجِّيكَ We will save you بِبَدَنِكَ in your body, لِتَكُونَ that you may be لِمَنْ for (those) who
خَلْفَكَ succeed you ءَايَةً a sign. وَإِنَّ And indeed, كَثِيرًا many مِّنَ among ٱلنَّاسِ the mankind عَنْ of ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Signs لَغَٰفِلُونَ (are) surely heedless."
وَلَقَدْ And verily, بَوَّأْنَا We settled بَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel مُبَوَّأَ (in) a settlement صِدْقٍ honorable, وَرَزَقْنَٰهُم and We provided them مِّنَ with
ٱلطَّيِّبَٰتِ the good things, فَمَا and not ٱخْتَلَفُوا۟ they differ حَتَّىٰ until جَآءَهُمُ came to them ٱلْعِلْمُ the knowledge. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord يَقْضِى will judge
بَيْنَهُمْ between them يَوْمَ (on) the Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection, فِيمَا concerning what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) فِيهِ [in it] يَخْتَلِفُونَ differ. فَإِن So if كُنتَ you are فِى in شَكٍّ doubt
مِّمَّآ of what أَنزَلْنَآ We have revealed إِلَيْكَ to you, فَسْـَٔلِ then ask ٱلَّذِينَ those who يَقْرَءُونَ (have been) reading ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book مِن before you. *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
قَبْلِكَ before you. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] لَقَدْ Verily, جَآءَكَ has come to you ٱلْحَقُّ the truth مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord, فَلَا so (do) not تَكُونَنَّ be مِنَ among ٱلْمُمْتَرِينَ the doubters.
وَلَا And (do) not تَكُونَنَّ be مِنَ of ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَذَّبُوا۟ deny بِـَٔايَٰتِ (the) Signs of Allah, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ (the) Signs of Allah, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَتَكُونَ then you will be مِنَ among ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ the losers.
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those [whom], حَقَّتْ has become due عَلَيْهِمْ on them كَلِمَتُ (the) Word رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord لَا will not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
وَلَوْ Even if جَآءَتْهُمْ comes to them كُلُّ every ءَايَةٍ Sign حَتَّىٰ until يَرَوُا۟ they see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment - ٱلْأَلِيمَ the painful.
ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know." وَجَٰوَزْنَا And We took across بِبَنِىٓ (the) Children إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (of) Israel - ٱلْبَحْرَ the sea, فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ and followed them

إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those [whom], حَقَّتْ has become due عَلَيْهِمْ on them كَلِمَتُ (the) Word رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord لَا will not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe.
وَلَوْ Even if جَآءَتْهُمْ comes to them كُلُّ every ءَايَةٍ Sign حَتَّىٰ until يَرَوُا۟ they see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment - ٱلْأَلِيمَ the painful.
