فَلَمَّا
But when
جَآءَهُم
came to them
مُّوسَىٰ
Musa
بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
with Our Signs
بَيِّنَٰتٍ
clear,
قَالُوا۟
they said,
مَا
"Not
هَٰذَآ
(is) this
إِلَّا
except
سِحْرٌ
a magic
مُّفْتَرًى invented, وَمَا and not سَمِعْنَا we heard بِهَٰذَا of this فِىٓ among ءَابَآئِنَا our forefathers." *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ our forefathers." *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
وَقَالَ And Musa said, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مُوسَىٰ And Musa said, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] رَبِّىٓ "My Lord أَعْلَمُ knows best بِمَن of who جَآءَ has come بِٱلْهُدَىٰ with [the] guidance مِنْ from Him *[meaning includes next or prev. word] عِندِهِۦ from Him *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَمَن and who -
تَكُونُ will be لَهُۥ for him عَٰقِبَةُ the good end in the Hereafter. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلدَّارِ the good end in the Hereafter. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, لَا not يُفْلِحُ will be successful ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers."
وَقَالَ And Firaun said, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فِرْعَوْنُ And Firaun said, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَٰٓأَيُّهَا "O chiefs! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْمَلَأُ "O chiefs! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَا Not عَلِمْتُ I know لَكُم for you مِّنْ any إِلَٰهٍ god
غَيْرِى other than me. فَأَوْقِدْ So kindle لِى for me يَٰهَٰمَٰنُ O Haman! عَلَى Upon ٱلطِّينِ the clay فَٱجْعَل and make, لِّى for me صَرْحًا a lofty tower لَّعَلِّىٓ so that [I]
أَطَّلِعُ I may look إِلَىٰٓ at إِلَٰهِ (the) God مُوسَىٰ (of) Musa. وَإِنِّى And indeed, I لَأَظُنُّهُۥ [I] think that he مِنَ (is) of ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ the liars."
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ And he was arrogant, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] هُوَ And he was arrogant, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَجُنُودُهُۥ and his hosts فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the land بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ right, وَظَنُّوٓا۟ and they thought
أَنَّهُمْ that they إِلَيْنَا to Us لَا not يُرْجَعُونَ will be returned. فَأَخَذْنَٰهُ So We seized him وَجُنُودَهُۥ and his hosts, فَنَبَذْنَٰهُمْ and We threw them
فِى in ٱلْيَمِّ the sea. فَٱنظُرْ So see كَيْفَ how كَانَ was عَٰقِبَةُ (the) end ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ (of) the wrongdoers.
وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ And We made them أَئِمَّةً leaders يَدْعُونَ inviting إِلَى to ٱلنَّارِ the Fire, وَيَوْمَ and (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection
لَا not يُنصَرُونَ they will be helped. وَأَتْبَعْنَٰهُمْ And We caused to follow them فِى in هَٰذِهِ this ٱلدُّنْيَا world لَعْنَةً a curse,
وَيَوْمَ and (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection هُم they مِّنَ (will be) of ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ the despised. وَلَقَدْ And verily, ءَاتَيْنَا We gave
مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture, مِنۢ after [what] *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَعْدِ after [what] *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَآ after [what] *[meaning includes next or prev. word] أَهْلَكْنَا We had destroyed ٱلْقُرُونَ the generations ٱلْأُولَىٰ former
بَصَآئِرَ (as) an enlightenment لِلنَّاسِ for the mankind وَهُدًى and a guidance وَرَحْمَةً and mercy لَّعَلَّهُمْ that they may يَتَذَكَّرُونَ remember.
مُّفْتَرًى invented, وَمَا and not سَمِعْنَا we heard بِهَٰذَا of this فِىٓ among ءَابَآئِنَا our forefathers." *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ our forefathers." *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
