سورة Luqman
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الٓمٓ
Alif Lam Meem.
تِلْكَ
These
ءَايَٰتُ
(are) Verses
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
(of) the Book
ٱلْحَكِيمِ
the Wise,
هُدًى
A guidance
وَرَحْمَةً
and a mercy
لِّلْمُحْسِنِينَ for the good-doers, ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُقِيمُونَ establish ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ the prayer وَيُؤْتُونَ and give ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ zakah وَهُم and they,
بِٱلْءَاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter, هُمْ [they] يُوقِنُونَ believe firmly. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those عَلَىٰ (are) on هُدًى guidance مِّن from رَّبِّهِمْ their Lord, وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ and those
هُمُ [they] ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful. وَمِنَ And of ٱلنَّاسِ the mankind مَن (is he) who يَشْتَرِى purchases, لَهْوَ idle tales *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْحَدِيثِ idle tales *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
لِيُضِلَّ to mislead عَن from سَبِيلِ (the) path ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah بِغَيْرِ without عِلْمٍ knowledge, وَيَتَّخِذَهَا and takes it هُزُوًا (in) ridicule. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those لَهُمْ for them
عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment مُّهِينٌ humiliating. وَإِذَا And when تُتْلَىٰ are recited عَلَيْهِ to him ءَايَٰتُنَا Our Verses, وَلَّىٰ he turns away مُسْتَكْبِرًا arrogantly
كَأَن as if لَّمْ not يَسْمَعْهَا he (had) heard them, كَأَنَّ as if فِىٓ in أُذُنَيْهِ his ears وَقْرًا (is) deafness. فَبَشِّرْهُ So give him tidings بِعَذَابٍ of a punishment أَلِيمٍ painful.
إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds, لَهُمْ for them جَنَّٰتُ (are) Gardens ٱلنَّعِيمِ (of) Delight,
خَٰلِدِينَ (To) abide forever فِيهَا in it. وَعْدَ (The) Promise of Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ (The) Promise of Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] حَقًّا (is) true. وَهُوَ And He ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise. خَلَقَ He created
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens بِغَيْرِ without عَمَدٍ pillars تَرَوْنَهَا that you see وَأَلْقَىٰ and has cast فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth رَوَٰسِىَ firm mountains أَن lest تَمِيدَ it (might) shake
بِكُمْ with you, وَبَثَّ and He dispersed فِيهَا in it مِن from كُلِّ every دَآبَّةٍ creature. وَأَنزَلْنَا And We sent down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water فَأَنۢبَتْنَا then We caused to grow
فِيهَا therein مِن of كُلِّ every زَوْجٍ kind كَرِيمٍ noble. هَٰذَا This خَلْقُ (is the) creation ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. فَأَرُونِى So show Me مَاذَا what
خَلَقَ have created ٱلَّذِينَ those مِن besides Him. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] دُونِهِۦ besides Him. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بَلِ Nay, ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers فِى (are) in ضَلَٰلٍ error مُّبِينٍ clear.
