ٱللَّهَ

يُولِجُ
causes to enter
ٱلَّيْلَ
the night
فِى
into
ٱلنَّهَارِ
the day,
وَيُولِجُ
and causes to enter
ٱلنَّهَارَ
the day
فِى
into
ٱلَّيْلِ
the night
وَسَخَّرَ and has subjected ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun وَٱلْقَمَرَ and the moon, كُلٌّ each يَجْرِىٓ moving إِلَىٰٓ for أَجَلٍ a term مُّسَمًّى appointed, وَأَنَّ and that ٱللَّهَ Allah
بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do خَبِيرٌ (is) All-Aware. ذَٰلِكَ That بِأَنَّ (is) because ٱللَّهَ Allah, هُوَ He ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the Truth, وَأَنَّ and that مَا what يَدْعُونَ they call
مِن besides Him *[meaning includes next or prev. word] دُونِهِ besides Him *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْبَٰطِلُ (is) [the] falsehood, وَأَنَّ and that ٱللَّهَ Allah, هُوَ He ٱلْعَلِىُّ (is) the Most High, ٱلْكَبِيرُ the Most Great. أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّ that
ٱلْفُلْكَ the ships تَجْرِى sail فِى through ٱلْبَحْرِ the sea بِنِعْمَتِ by (the) Grace ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah لِيُرِيَكُم that He may show you مِّنْ of ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ His Signs? إِنَّ Indeed,
فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَٰتٍ surely (are) Signs لِّكُلِّ for everyone صَبَّارٍ (who is) patient, شَكُورٍ grateful. وَإِذَا And when غَشِيَهُم covers them مَّوْجٌ a wave
كَٱلظُّلَلِ like canopies, دَعَوُا۟ they call ٱللَّهَ Allah, مُخْلِصِينَ (being) sincere لَهُ to Him ٱلدِّينَ (in) religion. فَلَمَّا But when نَجَّىٰهُمْ He delivers them إِلَى to ٱلْبَرِّ the land
فَمِنْهُم then among them مُّقْتَصِدٌ (some are) moderate. وَمَا And not يَجْحَدُ deny بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Signs إِلَّا except كُلُّ every خَتَّارٍ traitor كَفُورٍ ungrateful.
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O ٱلنَّاسُ mankind! ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear رَبَّكُمْ your Lord وَٱخْشَوْا۟ and fear يَوْمًا a Day لَّا not يَجْزِى can avail وَالِدٌ a father
عَن [for] وَلَدِهِۦ his son وَلَا and not مَوْلُودٌ a son, هُوَ he جَازٍ (can) avail عَن [for] وَالِدِهِۦ his father شَيْـًٔا anything. إِنَّ Indeed, وَعْدَ (the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah
حَقٌّ (is) True, فَلَا so let not deceive you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] تَغُرَّنَّكُمُ so let not deceive you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَلَا and let not deceive you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَغُرَّنَّكُم and let not deceive you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بِٱللَّهِ about Allah
ٱلْغَرُورُ the deceiver. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah, عِندَهُۥ with Him عِلْمُ (is the) knowledge ٱلسَّاعَةِ (of) the Hour وَيُنَزِّلُ and He sends down ٱلْغَيْثَ the rain,
وَيَعْلَمُ and knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْحَامِ the wombs. وَمَا And not تَدْرِى knows نَفْسٌ any soul مَّاذَا what تَكْسِبُ it will earn غَدًا tomorrow,
وَمَا and not تَدْرِى knows نَفْسٌۢ any soul بِأَىِّ in what أَرْضٍ land تَمُوتُ it will die. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower خَبِيرٌۢ All-Aware.
