قَالَ
Will say
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟
were arrogant
لِلَّذِينَ
to those
ٱسْتُضْعِفُوٓا۟
who were oppressed,
أَنَحْنُ
"Did we
صَدَدْنَٰكُمْ
avert you
عَنِ from ٱلْهُدَىٰ the guidance بَعْدَ after إِذْ when جَآءَكُم it had come to you? بَلْ Nay, كُنتُم you were مُّجْرِمِينَ criminals." وَقَالَ And will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who
ٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟ were oppressed لِلَّذِينَ to those who ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ were arrogant, بَلْ "Nay, مَكْرُ (it was) a plot ٱلَّيْلِ (by) night وَٱلنَّهَارِ and (by) day إِذْ when
تَأْمُرُونَنَآ you were ordering us أَن that نَّكْفُرَ we disbelieve بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَنَجْعَلَ and we set up لَهُۥٓ for Him أَندَادًا equals." وَأَسَرُّوا۟ But they will conceal ٱلنَّدَامَةَ the regret
لَمَّا when رَأَوُا۟ they see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment. وَجَعَلْنَا And We will put ٱلْأَغْلَٰلَ shackles فِىٓ on أَعْنَاقِ (the) necks ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved.
هَلْ Will يُجْزَوْنَ they be recompensed إِلَّا except مَا (for) what كَانُوا۟ they used to يَعْمَلُونَ do? وَمَآ And not أَرْسَلْنَا We sent فِى to قَرْيَةٍ a town
مِّن any نَّذِيرٍ warner إِلَّا but قَالَ said مُتْرَفُوهَآ its wealthy ones, إِنَّا "Indeed we, بِمَآ in what أُرْسِلْتُم you have been sent بِهِۦ with, كَٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers."
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, نَحْنُ "We أَكْثَرُ (have) more أَمْوَٰلًا wealth وَأَوْلَٰدًا and children, وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمُعَذَّبِينَ will be punished."
قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed, رَبِّى my Lord يَبْسُطُ extends ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision لِمَن for whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَقْدِرُ and restricts, وَلَٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most
ٱلنَّاسِ [the] people لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know." وَمَآ And not أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ your wealth وَلَآ and not أَوْلَٰدُكُم your children بِٱلَّتِى [that] تُقَرِّبُكُمْ will bring you close
عِندَنَا to Us زُلْفَىٰٓ (in) position, إِلَّا but مَنْ whoever ءَامَنَ believes وَعَمِلَ and does صَٰلِحًا righteousness, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those, لَهُمْ for them جَزَآءُ (will be) reward
ٱلضِّعْفِ two-fold بِمَا for what عَمِلُوا۟ they did, وَهُمْ and they فِى (will be) in ٱلْغُرُفَٰتِ the high dwellings ءَامِنُونَ secure. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who
يَسْعَوْنَ strive فِىٓ against ءَايَٰتِنَا Our Verses مُعَٰجِزِينَ (to) cause failure, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those فِى into ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment مُحْضَرُونَ (will be) brought.
قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed, رَبِّى my Lord يَبْسُطُ extends ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision لِمَن for whom يَشَآءُ He wills مِنْ of عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves وَيَقْدِرُ and restricts لَهُۥ for him.
وَمَآ But what أَنفَقْتُم you spend مِّن of شَىْءٍ anything فَهُوَ then He يُخْلِفُهُۥ will compensate it وَهُوَ and He خَيْرُ (is the) Best ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ (of) the Providers.
عَنِ from ٱلْهُدَىٰ the guidance بَعْدَ after إِذْ when جَآءَكُم it had come to you? بَلْ Nay, كُنتُم you were مُّجْرِمِينَ criminals." وَقَالَ And will say ٱلَّذِينَ those who

وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, نَحْنُ "We أَكْثَرُ (have) more أَمْوَٰلًا wealth وَأَوْلَٰدًا and children, وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمُعَذَّبِينَ will be punished."
قُلْ Say, إِنَّ "Indeed, رَبِّى my Lord يَبْسُطُ extends ٱلرِّزْقَ the provision لِمَن for whom يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَقْدِرُ and restricts, وَلَٰكِنَّ but أَكْثَرَ most
ٱلنَّاسِ [the] people لَا (do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know." وَمَآ And not أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ your wealth وَلَآ and not أَوْلَٰدُكُم your children بِٱلَّتِى [that] تُقَرِّبُكُمْ will bring you close
عِندَنَا to Us زُلْفَىٰٓ (in) position, إِلَّا but مَنْ whoever ءَامَنَ believes وَعَمِلَ and does صَٰلِحًا righteousness, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those, لَهُمْ for them جَزَآءُ (will be) reward
ٱلضِّعْفِ two-fold بِمَا for what عَمِلُوا۟ they did, وَهُمْ and they فِى (will be) in ٱلْغُرُفَٰتِ the high dwellings ءَامِنُونَ secure. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who
