هُوَ
He
ٱلَّذِى
(is) the One Who
خَلَقَكُم
created you
مِّن
from
تُرَابٍ
dust,
ثُمَّ
then
مِن
from
نُّطْفَةٍ
a semen-drop,
ثُمَّ
then
مِنْ
from
عَلَقَةٍ
a clinging substance,
ثُمَّ
then
يُخْرِجُكُمْ He brings you out طِفْلًا (as) a child; ثُمَّ then لِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ lets you reach أَشُدَّكُمْ your maturity, ثُمَّ then لِتَكُونُوا۟ lets you become شُيُوخًا old -
وَمِنكُم and among you مَّن (is he) who يُتَوَفَّىٰ dies مِن before - *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلُ before - *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟ and lets you reach أَجَلًا a term مُّسَمًّى specified, وَلَعَلَّكُمْ and that you may
تَعْقِلُونَ use reason. هُوَ He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُحْىِۦ gives life وَيُمِيتُ and causes death. فَإِذَا And when قَضَىٰٓ He decrees أَمْرًا a matter, فَإِنَّمَا then only
يَقُولُ He says لَهُۥ to it, كُن "Be," فَيَكُونُ and it is. أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see إِلَى [to] ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُجَٰدِلُونَ dispute
فِىٓ concerning ءَايَٰتِ (the) Signs ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah? أَنَّىٰ How يُصْرَفُونَ they are turned away? ٱلَّذِينَ Those who كَذَّبُوا۟ deny بِٱلْكِتَٰبِ the Book
وَبِمَآ and with what أَرْسَلْنَا We sent بِهِۦ with it رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers; فَسَوْفَ but soon يَعْلَمُونَ they will know. إِذِ When ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ the iron collars
فِىٓ (will be) around أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ their necks وَٱلسَّلَٰسِلُ and the chains, يُسْحَبُونَ they will be dragged, فِى In ٱلْحَمِيمِ the boiling water;
ثُمَّ then فِى in ٱلنَّارِ the Fire يُسْجَرُونَ they will be burned. ثُمَّ Then قِيلَ it will be said لَهُمْ to them, أَيْنَ "Where مَا (is) that which كُنتُمْ you used to
تُشْرِكُونَ associate مِن Other than *[meaning includes next or prev. word] دُونِ Other than *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ Allah?" قَالُوا۟ They will say, ضَلُّوا۟ "They have departed عَنَّا from us. بَل Nay! لَّمْ Not نَكُن we used to
نَّدْعُوا۟ [we] call مِن before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلُ before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] شَيْـًٔا anything." كَذَٰلِكَ Thus يُضِلُّ Allah lets go astray *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ Allah lets go astray *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers.
ذَٰلِكُم "That was بِمَا because كُنتُمْ you used to تَفْرَحُونَ rejoice فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth بِغَيْرِ without ٱلْحَقِّ right وَبِمَا and because كُنتُمْ you used to
تَمْرَحُونَ be insolent. ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ Enter أَبْوَٰبَ (the) gates جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell خَٰلِدِينَ (to) abide forever فِيهَا in it, فَبِئْسَ and wretched is مَثْوَى (the) abode
ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ (of) the arrogant." فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient; إِنَّ indeed, وَعْدَ (the) Promise ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah حَقٌّ (is) true. فَإِمَّا And whether نُرِيَنَّكَ We show you
بَعْضَ some ٱلَّذِى (of) what نَعِدُهُمْ We have promised them أَوْ or نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ We cause you to die, فَإِلَيْنَا then to Us يُرْجَعُونَ they will be returned.
