سورة Al-Mumtahana
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe!
لَا
(Do) not
تَتَّخِذُوا۟
take
عَدُوِّى
My enemies
وَعَدُوَّكُمْ
and your enemies
أَوْلِيَآءَ
(as) allies
تُلْقُونَ
offering
إِلَيْهِم them بِٱلْمَوَدَّةِ love وَقَدْ while كَفَرُوا۟ they have disbelieved بِمَا in what جَآءَكُم came to you مِّنَ of ٱلْحَقِّ the truth, يُخْرِجُونَ driving out ٱلرَّسُولَ the Messenger
وَإِيَّاكُمْ and yourselves أَن because تُؤْمِنُوا۟ you believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah, رَبِّكُمْ your Lord. إِن If كُنتُمْ you خَرَجْتُمْ come forth جِهَٰدًا (to) strive فِى in سَبِيلِى My way
وَٱبْتِغَآءَ and (to) seek مَرْضَاتِى My Pleasure. تُسِرُّونَ You confide إِلَيْهِم to them بِٱلْمَوَدَّةِ love, وَأَنَا۠ but I Am أَعْلَمُ most knowing بِمَآ of what أَخْفَيْتُمْ you conceal
وَمَآ and what أَعْلَنتُمْ you declare. وَمَن And whoever يَفْعَلْهُ does it مِنكُمْ among you فَقَدْ then certainly ضَلَّ he has strayed سَوَآءَ (from the) straight ٱلسَّبِيلِ path. إِن If
يَثْقَفُوكُمْ they gain dominance over you, يَكُونُوا۟ they would be لَكُمْ to you أَعْدَآءً enemies وَيَبْسُطُوٓا۟ and extend إِلَيْكُمْ against you أَيْدِيَهُمْ their hands وَأَلْسِنَتَهُم and their tongues
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ with evil, وَوَدُّوا۟ and they desire لَوْ that تَكْفُرُونَ you would disbelieve. لَن Never تَنفَعَكُمْ will benefit you أَرْحَامُكُمْ your relatives وَلَآ and not أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ your children
يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection. يَفْصِلُ He will judge بَيْنَكُمْ between you. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do بَصِيرٌ (is) All-Seer. قَدْ Indeed, كَانَتْ (there) is
لَكُمْ for you أُسْوَةٌ an example حَسَنَةٌ good فِىٓ in إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim وَٱلَّذِينَ and those مَعَهُۥٓ with him, إِذْ when قَالُوا۟ they said لِقَوْمِهِمْ to their people, إِنَّا "Indeed, we
بُرَءَٰٓؤُا۟ (are) disassociated مِنكُمْ from you وَمِمَّا and from what تَعْبُدُونَ you worship مِن from دُونِ besides ٱللَّهِ Allah. كَفَرْنَا We have denied بِكُمْ you, وَبَدَا and has appeared بَيْنَنَا between us
وَبَيْنَكُمُ and between you ٱلْعَدَٰوَةُ enmity وَٱلْبَغْضَآءُ and hatred أَبَدًا forever حَتَّىٰ until تُؤْمِنُوا۟ you believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَحْدَهُۥٓ Alone." إِلَّا Except قَوْلَ (the) saying
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ (of) Ibrahim لِأَبِيهِ to his father, لَأَسْتَغْفِرَنَّ "Surely I ask forgiveness لَكَ for you, وَمَآ but not أَمْلِكُ I have power لَكَ for you مِنَ from ٱللَّهِ Allah مِن of شَىْءٍ anything.
رَّبَّنَا Our Lord, عَلَيْكَ upon You تَوَكَّلْنَا we put our trust, وَإِلَيْكَ and to You أَنَبْنَا we turn, وَإِلَيْكَ and to You ٱلْمَصِيرُ (is) the final return. رَبَّنَا Our Lord, لَا (do) not تَجْعَلْنَا make us
فِتْنَةً a trial لِّلَّذِينَ for those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, وَٱغْفِرْ and forgive لَنَا us, رَبَّنَآ our Lord. إِنَّكَ Indeed You أَنتَ [You] ٱلْعَزِيزُ (are) the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise."
