خَٰشِعَةً
Humbled,
أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ
their eyes,
تَرْهَقُهُمْ
will cover them
ذِلَّةٌ
humiliation.
وَقَدْ
And indeed,
كَانُوا۟
they were
يُدْعَوْنَ
called
إِلَى
to
ٱلسُّجُودِ
prostrate
وَهُمْ
while they
سَٰلِمُونَ (were) sound. فَذَرْنِى So leave Me وَمَن and whoever يُكَذِّبُ denies بِهَٰذَا this ٱلْحَدِيثِ Statement, سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم We will progressively lead them
مِّنْ from حَيْثُ where لَا not يَعْلَمُونَ they know. وَأُمْلِى And I will give respite لَهُمْ to them. إِنَّ Indeed, كَيْدِى My plan مَتِينٌ (is) firm. أَمْ Or تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ you ask them
أَجْرًا a payment, فَهُم so they مِّن from مَّغْرَمٍ (the) debt مُّثْقَلُونَ (are) burdened? أَمْ Or عِندَهُمُ (is) with them ٱلْغَيْبُ the unseen, فَهُمْ so they يَكْتُبُونَ write it?
فَٱصْبِرْ So be patient لِحُكْمِ for (the) decision رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord, وَلَا and (do) not تَكُن be كَصَاحِبِ like (the) companion ٱلْحُوتِ (of) the fish, إِذْ when نَادَىٰ he called out,
وَهُوَ while he مَكْظُومٌ (was) distressed. لَّوْلَآ If not أَن that تَدَٰرَكَهُۥ overtook him نِعْمَةٌ a Favor مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ his Lord, لَنُبِذَ surely he would have been thrown بِٱلْعَرَآءِ onto (the) naked shore
وَهُوَ while he مَذْمُومٌ (was) blamed. فَٱجْتَبَٰهُ But chose him, رَبُّهُۥ his Lord, فَجَعَلَهُۥ and made him مِنَ of ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ the righteous.
وَإِن And indeed, يَكَادُ would almost ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve, لَيُزْلِقُونَكَ surely make you slip بِأَبْصَٰرِهِمْ with their look لَمَّا when سَمِعُوا۟ they hear
ٱلذِّكْرَ the Message, وَيَقُولُونَ and they say, إِنَّهُۥ "Indeed, he لَمَجْنُونٌ (is) surely mad." وَمَا And not هُوَ it (is) إِلَّا but ذِكْرٌ a Reminder لِّلْعَٰلَمِينَ to the worlds.
بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ the Striking Calamity. فَأَمَّا So as for ثَمُودُ Thamud, فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ they were destroyed بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ by the overpowering (blast). وَأَمَّا And as for عَادٌ Aad, فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ they were destroyed بِرِيحٍ by a wind
صَرْصَرٍ screaming عَاتِيَةٍ violent, سَخَّرَهَا Which He imposed عَلَيْهِمْ upon them سَبْعَ (for) seven لَيَالٍ nights وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ and eight أَيَّامٍ days حُسُومًا (in) succession, فَتَرَى so you would see
ٱلْقَوْمَ the people فِيهَا therein صَرْعَىٰ fallen كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they were أَعْجَازُ trunks نَخْلٍ (of) date-palms خَاوِيَةٍ hollow. فَهَلْ Then do تَرَىٰ you see لَهُم of them مِّنۢ any بَاقِيَةٍ remains?
سَٰلِمُونَ (were) sound. فَذَرْنِى So leave Me وَمَن and whoever يُكَذِّبُ denies بِهَٰذَا this ٱلْحَدِيثِ Statement, سَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُم We will progressively lead them

سورة Al-Haaqqa
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
The Inevitable Reality!
مَا
What
ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
(is) the Inevitable Reality?
وَمَآ
And what
أَدْرَىٰكَ
will make you know
مَا
what
ٱلْحَآقَّةُ
(is) the Inevitable Reality?
كَذَّبَتْ
Denied
ثَمُودُ
Thamud
وَعَادٌۢ
and Aad
بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ the Striking Calamity. فَأَمَّا So as for ثَمُودُ Thamud, فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ they were destroyed بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ by the overpowering (blast). وَأَمَّا And as for عَادٌ Aad, فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ they were destroyed بِرِيحٍ by a wind
