وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم
And surely, We will let them taste
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment
ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ
the nearer
دُونَ
before
ٱلْعَذَابِ
the punishment
ٱلْأَكْبَرِ
the greater,
لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return. وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّن than (he) who ذُكِّرَ is reminded بِـَٔايَٰتِ of (the) Verses رَبِّهِۦ (of) his Lord, ثُمَّ then
أَعْرَضَ he turns away عَنْهَآ from them? إِنَّا Indeed, We مِنَ from ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals, مُنتَقِمُونَ (will) take retribution. وَلَقَدْ And certainly ءَاتَيْنَا We gave
مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Scripture, فَلَا so (do) not تَكُن be فِى in مِرْيَةٍ doubt مِّن about لِّقَآئِهِۦ receiving it. وَجَعَلْنَٰهُ And We made it
هُدًى a guide لِّبَنِىٓ for the Children of Israel. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ for the Children of Israel. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَجَعَلْنَا And We made مِنْهُمْ from them أَئِمَّةً leaders يَهْدُونَ guiding بِأَمْرِنَا by Our Command
لَمَّا when صَبَرُوا۟ they were patient وَكَانُوا۟ and they were بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا of Our Verses يُوقِنُونَ certain. إِنَّ Indeed, رَبَّكَ your Lord هُوَ [He]
يَفْصِلُ will judge بَيْنَهُمْ between them يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection فِيمَا in what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) فِيهِ [in it] يَخْتَلِفُونَ differ.
أَوَلَمْ Does it not يَهْدِ guide لَهُمْ [for] them, كَمْ (that) how many أَهْلَكْنَا We have destroyed مِن before them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلِهِم before them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مِّنَ of ٱلْقُرُونِ the generations,
يَمْشُونَ they walk about فِى in مَسَٰكِنِهِمْ their dwellings. إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَءَايَٰتٍ surely, are Signs. أَفَلَا Then do not يَسْمَعُونَ they hear?
أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We نَسُوقُ drive ٱلْمَآءَ water إِلَى to ٱلْأَرْضِ the land ٱلْجُرُزِ [the] barren, فَنُخْرِجُ then We bring forth
بِهِۦ thereby زَرْعًا crops, تَأْكُلُ eat مِنْهُ from it أَنْعَٰمُهُمْ their cattle وَأَنفُسُهُمْ and they themselves? أَفَلَا Then do not يُبْصِرُونَ they see?
وَيَقُولُونَ And they say, مَتَىٰ "When (will be) هَٰذَا this ٱلْفَتْحُ decision, إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَٰدِقِينَ truthful?"
قُلْ Say, يَوْمَ "(On the) Day ٱلْفَتْحِ (of) the Decision, لَا not يَنفَعُ will benefit ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve إِيمَٰنُهُمْ their belief وَلَا and not هُمْ they
يُنظَرُونَ will be granted respite." فَأَعْرِضْ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them وَٱنتَظِرْ and wait. إِنَّهُم Indeed, they مُّنتَظِرُونَ (are) waiting.
