مِّنَ
Among
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
the believers
رِجَالٌ
(are) men
صَدَقُوا۟
(who) have been true
مَا
(to) what
عَٰهَدُوا۟
they promised Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱللَّهَ
they promised Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
عَلَيْهِ
[on it].
فَمِنْهُم
And among them
مَّن
(is he) who
قَضَىٰ has fulfilled نَحْبَهُۥ his vow وَمِنْهُم and among them مَّن (is he) who يَنتَظِرُ awaits. وَمَا And not بَدَّلُوا۟ they alter تَبْدِيلًا (by) any alteration - لِّيَجْزِىَ That Allah may reward *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱللَّهُ That Allah may reward *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ the truthful بِصِدْقِهِمْ for their truth وَيُعَذِّبَ and punish ٱلْمُنَٰفِقِينَ the hypocrites إِن if شَآءَ He wills أَوْ or
يَتُوبَ turn in mercy عَلَيْهِمْ to them. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah كَانَ is غَفُورًا Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمًا Most Merciful. وَرَدَّ And Allah turned back *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ And Allah turned back *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلَّذِينَ those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved, بِغَيْظِهِمْ in their rage, لَمْ not يَنَالُوا۟ they obtained خَيْرًا any good. وَكَفَى And sufficient is ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ (for) the believers
ٱلْقِتَالَ (in) the battle, وَكَانَ and Allah is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ and Allah is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَوِيًّا All-Strong, عَزِيزًا All-Mighty. وَأَنزَلَ And He brought down ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَٰهَرُوهُم backed them مِّنْ among
أَهْلِ (the) People ٱلْكِتَٰبِ (of) the Scripture مِن from صَيَاصِيهِمْ their fortresses وَقَذَفَ and cast فِى into قُلُوبِهِمُ their hearts ٱلرُّعْبَ [the] terror,
فَرِيقًا a group تَقْتُلُونَ you killed وَتَأْسِرُونَ and you took captive فَرِيقًا a group. وَأَوْرَثَكُمْ And He caused you to inherit أَرْضَهُمْ their land,
وَدِيَٰرَهُمْ and their houses, وَأَمْوَٰلَهُمْ and their properties وَأَرْضًا and a land لَّمْ not تَطَـُٔوهَا you (had) trodden. وَكَانَ And Allah is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهُ And Allah is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] عَلَىٰ on كُلِّ every
شَىْءٍ thing قَدِيرًا All-Powerful. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O Prophet! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلنَّبِىُّ O Prophet! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قُل Say لِّأَزْوَٰجِكَ to your wives, إِن "If كُنتُنَّ you تُرِدْنَ desire
ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world وَزِينَتَهَا and its adornment, فَتَعَالَيْنَ then come, أُمَتِّعْكُنَّ I will provide for you وَأُسَرِّحْكُنَّ and release you
سَرَاحًا (with) a release جَمِيلًا good. وَإِن But if كُنتُنَّ you تُرِدْنَ desire ٱللَّهَ Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger وَٱلدَّارَ and the Home
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ (of) the Hereafter, فَإِنَّ then indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah أَعَدَّ has prepared لِلْمُحْسِنَٰتِ for the good-doers مِنكُنَّ among you أَجْرًا a reward عَظِيمًا great."
يَٰنِسَآءَ O wives ٱلنَّبِىِّ (of) the Prophet! مَن Whoever يَأْتِ commits مِنكُنَّ from you بِفَٰحِشَةٍ immorality مُّبَيِّنَةٍ clear, يُضَٰعَفْ will be doubled
لَهَا for her ٱلْعَذَابُ the punishment ضِعْفَيْنِ two fold. وَكَانَ And that is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ذَٰلِكَ And that is *[meaning includes next or prev. word] عَلَى for ٱللَّهِ Allah يَسِيرًا easy.
