وَلِبُيُوتِهِمْ
And for their houses
أَبْوَٰبًا
doors
وَسُرُرًا
and couches
عَلَيْهَا
upon which
يَتَّكِـُٔونَ
they recline
وَزُخْرُفًا
And ornaments of gold.
وَإِن
And not (is)
كُلُّ all ذَٰلِكَ that لَمَّا but مَتَٰعُ an enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ (of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ And the Hereafter عِندَ with رَبِّكَ your Lord
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ (is) for the righteous. وَمَن And whoever يَعْشُ turns away عَن from ذِكْرِ (the) remembrance ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious, نُقَيِّضْ We appoint لَهُۥ for him شَيْطَٰنًا a devil,
فَهُوَ then he لَهُۥ (is) to him قَرِينٌ a companion. وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they لَيَصُدُّونَهُمْ surely, turn them عَنِ from ٱلسَّبِيلِ the Path وَيَحْسَبُونَ and they think
أَنَّهُم that they مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided. حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when جَآءَنَا he comes to Us قَالَ he says, يَٰلَيْتَ "O would that بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكَ and between you
بُعْدَ (were the) distance ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ (of) the East and the West." فَبِئْسَ How wretched is ٱلْقَرِينُ the companion! وَلَن And never يَنفَعَكُمُ will benefit you ٱلْيَوْمَ the Day,
إِذ when ظَّلَمْتُمْ you have wronged, أَنَّكُمْ that you فِى (will be) in ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment مُشْتَرِكُونَ sharing. أَفَأَنتَ Then can you تُسْمِعُ cause to hear
ٱلصُّمَّ the deaf أَوْ or تَهْدِى guide ٱلْعُمْىَ the blind وَمَن and (one) who كَانَ is فِى in ضَلَٰلٍ an error مُّبِينٍ clear? فَإِمَّا And whether
نَذْهَبَنَّ We take you away, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بِكَ We take you away, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَإِنَّا then indeed, We, مِنْهُم from them مُّنتَقِمُونَ (will) take retribution. أَوْ Or نُرِيَنَّكَ We show you ٱلَّذِى that which
وَعَدْنَٰهُمْ We have promised them, فَإِنَّا then indeed, We عَلَيْهِم over them مُّقْتَدِرُونَ have full power. فَٱسْتَمْسِكْ So hold fast بِٱلَّذِىٓ to that which أُوحِىَ is revealed
إِلَيْكَ to you. إِنَّكَ Indeed, you عَلَىٰ (are) on صِرَٰطٍ a Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍ Straight. وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, it لَذِكْرٌ (is) surely, a Reminder لَّكَ for you وَلِقَوْمِكَ and your people,
وَسَوْفَ and soon تُسْـَٔلُونَ you will be questioned. وَسْـَٔلْ And ask مَنْ (those) whom أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مِن before you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلِكَ before you *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مِن of رُّسُلِنَآ Our Messengers;
أَجَعَلْنَا did We make مِن besides *[meaning includes next or prev. word] دُونِ besides *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ the Most Gracious ءَالِهَةً gods يُعْبَدُونَ to be worshipped? وَلَقَدْ And certainly أَرْسَلْنَا We sent
مُوسَىٰ Musa بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ with Our Signs إِلَىٰ to فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ and his chiefs, فَقَالَ and he said, إِنِّى "Indeed, I am رَسُولُ a Messenger رَبِّ (of the) Lord
ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds." فَلَمَّا But when جَآءَهُم he came to them بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ with Our Signs, إِذَا behold! هُم They مِّنْهَا at them يَضْحَكُونَ laughed.
كُلُّ all ذَٰلِكَ that لَمَّا but مَتَٰعُ an enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ (of) the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world. وَٱلْءَاخِرَةُ And the Hereafter عِندَ with رَبِّكَ your Lord
