وَلَا
And (do) not
تُجَٰدِلُوٓا۟
argue
أَهْلَ
(with the) People of the Book *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
(with the) People of the Book *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
إِلَّا
except
بِٱلَّتِى
by which
هِىَ
[it]
أَحْسَنُ
(is) best,
إِلَّا
except
ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوا۟ (do) wrong مِنْهُمْ among them, وَقُولُوٓا۟ and say, ءَامَنَّا "We believe بِٱلَّذِىٓ in that (which) أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْنَا to us وَأُنزِلَ and was revealed
إِلَيْكُمْ to you. وَإِلَٰهُنَا And our God وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ and your God وَٰحِدٌ (is) One, وَنَحْنُ and we لَهُۥ to Him مُسْلِمُونَ submit."
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus أَنزَلْنَآ We (have) revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book. فَٱلَّذِينَ So those ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We gave [them]
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِهِۦ therein. وَمِنْ And among هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these مَن (are some) who يُؤْمِنُ believe بِهِۦ therein. وَمَا And none
يَجْحَدُ reject بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Verses إِلَّا except ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers. وَمَا And not كُنتَ (did) you تَتْلُوا۟ recite مِن before it, *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
قَبْلِهِۦ before it, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مِن any كِتَٰبٍ Book, وَلَا and not تَخُطُّهُۥ (did) you write it بِيَمِينِكَ with your right hand, إِذًا in that case لَّٱرْتَابَ surely (would) have doubted
ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ the falsifiers. بَلْ Nay, هُوَ it ءَايَٰتٌۢ (is) Verses بَيِّنَٰتٌ clear فِى in صُدُورِ (the) breasts ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who
أُوتُوا۟ are given ٱلْعِلْمَ the knowledge. وَمَا And not يَجْحَدُ reject بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ Our Verses إِلَّا except ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers. وَقَالُوا۟ And they say,
لَوْلَآ "Why not أُنزِلَ are sent down عَلَيْهِ to him ءَايَٰتٌ (the) Signs مِّن from رَّبِّهِۦ his Lord?" قُلْ Say, إِنَّمَا "Only ٱلْءَايَٰتُ the Signs عِندَ (are) with ٱللَّهِ Allah,
وَإِنَّمَآ and only أَنَا۠ I (am) نَذِيرٌ a warner مُّبِينٌ clear." أَوَلَمْ And is (it) not يَكْفِهِمْ sufficient for them أَنَّآ that We أَنزَلْنَا revealed عَلَيْكَ to you
ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book يُتْلَىٰ (which) is recited عَلَيْهِمْ to them? إِنَّ Indeed, فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that, لَرَحْمَةً surely is a mercy وَذِكْرَىٰ and a reminder
لِقَوْمٍ for a people يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe. قُلْ Say, كَفَىٰ "Sufficient is بِٱللَّهِ Allah بَيْنِى between me وَبَيْنَكُمْ and between you
شَهِيدًا (as) a Witness. يَعْلَمُ He knows مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth. وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe
بِٱلْبَٰطِلِ in [the] falsehood وَكَفَرُوا۟ and disbelieve بِٱللَّهِ in Allah, أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ those, هُمُ they ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ (are) the losers."
ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوا۟ (do) wrong مِنْهُمْ among them, وَقُولُوٓا۟ and say, ءَامَنَّا "We believe بِٱلَّذِىٓ in that (which) أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْنَا to us وَأُنزِلَ and was revealed
إِلَيْكُمْ to you. وَإِلَٰهُنَا And our God وَإِلَٰهُكُمْ and your God وَٰحِدٌ (is) One, وَنَحْنُ and we لَهُۥ to Him مُسْلِمُونَ submit."
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus أَنزَلْنَآ We (have) revealed إِلَيْكَ to you ٱلْكِتَٰبَ the Book. فَٱلَّذِينَ So those ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ We gave [them]
