وَلَوْ
And if
أَنَّهُمْ
they
صَبَرُوا۟
had been patient
حَتَّىٰ
until
تَخْرُجَ
you came out
إِلَيْهِمْ
to them
لَكَانَ
certainly it would be
خَيْرًا
better
لَّهُمْ
for them.
وَٱللَّهُ
And Allah
غَفُورٌ
(is) Oft-Forgiving,
رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ءَامَنُوٓا۟ O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] إِن If جَآءَكُمْ comes to you فَاسِقٌۢ a wicked person بِنَبَإٍ with information, فَتَبَيَّنُوٓا۟ investigate, أَن lest
تُصِيبُوا۟ you harm قَوْمًۢا a people بِجَهَٰلَةٍ in ignorance, فَتُصْبِحُوا۟ then you become, عَلَىٰ over مَا what فَعَلْتُمْ you have done, نَٰدِمِينَ regretful.
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ And know أَنَّ that فِيكُمْ among you رَسُولَ (is the) Messenger of Allah. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ (is the) Messenger of Allah. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] لَوْ If يُطِيعُكُمْ he were to obey you فِى in كَثِيرٍ much مِّنَ of ٱلْأَمْرِ the matter, لَعَنِتُّمْ surely you would be in difficulty,
وَلَٰكِنَّ but ٱللَّهَ Allah حَبَّبَ has endeared إِلَيْكُمُ to you ٱلْإِيمَٰنَ the Faith وَزَيَّنَهُۥ and has made it pleasing فِى in قُلُوبِكُمْ your hearts وَكَرَّهَ and has made hateful
إِلَيْكُمُ to you ٱلْكُفْرَ disbelief وَٱلْفُسُوقَ and defiance وَٱلْعِصْيَانَ and disobedience. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those هُمُ (are) they - ٱلرَّٰشِدُونَ the guided ones.
فَضْلًا A Bounty مِّنَ from Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ from Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَنِعْمَةً and favor. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower, حَكِيمٌ All-Wise. وَإِن And if طَآئِفَتَانِ two parties
مِنَ among ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers ٱقْتَتَلُوا۟ fight, فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ then make peace بَيْنَهُمَا between both of them. فَإِنۢ But if بَغَتْ oppresses إِحْدَىٰهُمَا one of them
عَلَى on ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ the other, فَقَٰتِلُوا۟ then fight ٱلَّتِى one which تَبْغِى oppresses حَتَّىٰ until تَفِىٓءَ it returns إِلَىٰٓ to أَمْرِ (the) command ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah. فَإِن Then if فَآءَتْ it returns,
فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ then make peace بَيْنَهُمَا between them بِٱلْعَدْلِ with justice, وَأَقْسِطُوٓا۟ and act justly. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱللَّهَ Allah يُحِبُّ loves ٱلْمُقْسِطِينَ those who act justly.
إِنَّمَا Only ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers إِخْوَةٌ (are) brothers, فَأَصْلِحُوا۟ so make peace بَيْنَ between أَخَوَيْكُمْ your brothers, وَٱتَّقُوا۟ and fear Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهَ and fear Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ءَامَنُوا۟ O you who believe! *[meaning includes next or prev. word] لَا (Let) not يَسْخَرْ ridicule قَوْمٌ a people مِّن [of] قَوْمٍ (another) people,
عَسَىٰٓ perhaps أَن that يَكُونُوا۟ they may be خَيْرًا better مِّنْهُمْ than them; وَلَا and (let) not نِسَآءٌ women مِّن [of] نِّسَآءٍ (other) women عَسَىٰٓ perhaps أَن that يَكُنَّ they may be خَيْرًا better
مِّنْهُنَّ than them. وَلَا And (do) not تَلْمِزُوٓا۟ insult أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves وَلَا and (do) not تَنَابَزُوا۟ call each other بِٱلْأَلْقَٰبِ by nicknames. بِئْسَ Wretched is ٱلِٱسْمُ the name
ٱلْفُسُوقُ (of) disobedience بَعْدَ after ٱلْإِيمَٰنِ the faith. وَمَن And whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَتُبْ repent, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those - هُمُ they ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ (are) the wrongdoers.
