وَمَآ
And whatever
أُوتِيتُم
you have been given
مِّن
from
شَىْءٍ
things,
فَمَتَٰعُ
(is) an enjoyment
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
(of the) life
ٱلدُّنْيَا
(of) the world
وَزِينَتُهَا
and its adornment.
وَمَا
And what
عِندَ
(is) with
ٱللَّهِ Allah, خَيْرٌ (is) better وَأَبْقَىٰٓ and more lasting. أَفَلَا So (will) not تَعْقِلُونَ you use intellect? أَفَمَن Then is (he) whom وَعَدْنَٰهُ We have promised him وَعْدًا a promise حَسَنًا good,
فَهُوَ and he لَٰقِيهِ (will) meet it, كَمَن like (the one) whom مَّتَّعْنَٰهُ We provided him مَتَٰعَ enjoyment ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ (of the) life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world ثُمَّ then هُوَ he يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection
مِنَ (will be) among ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ those presented? وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُنَادِيهِمْ He will call them فَيَقُولُ and say, أَيْنَ "Where, شُرَكَآءِىَ (are) My partners
ٱلَّذِينَ whom كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَزْعُمُونَ claim?" قَالَ (Will) say ٱلَّذِينَ those - حَقَّ (has) come true عَلَيْهِمُ against whom ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord!
هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ These ٱلَّذِينَ (are) those whom أَغْوَيْنَآ we led astray. أَغْوَيْنَٰهُمْ We led them astray كَمَا as غَوَيْنَا we were astray. تَبَرَّأْنَآ We declare our innocence إِلَيْكَ before You.
مَا Not كَانُوٓا۟ they used (to) إِيَّانَا worship us." *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَعْبُدُونَ worship us." *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَقِيلَ And it will be said, ٱدْعُوا۟ "Call شُرَكَآءَكُمْ your partners." فَدَعَوْهُمْ And they will call them,
فَلَمْ but not يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ they will respond لَهُمْ to them وَرَأَوُا۟ and they will see ٱلْعَذَابَ the punishment. لَوْ If only أَنَّهُمْ [that] they كَانُوا۟ had been يَهْتَدُونَ guided!
وَيَوْمَ And (the) Day يُنَادِيهِمْ He will call them فَيَقُولُ and say, مَاذَآ "What أَجَبْتُمُ did you answer ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers?"
فَعَمِيَتْ But (will) be obscure عَلَيْهِمُ to them ٱلْأَنۢبَآءُ the information يَوْمَئِذٍ that day, فَهُمْ so they لَا will not ask one another. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَتَسَآءَلُونَ will not ask one another. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَأَمَّا But as for
مَن (him) who تَابَ repented وَءَامَنَ and believed, وَعَمِلَ and did صَٰلِحًا righteousness, فَعَسَىٰٓ then perhaps أَن [that] يَكُونَ he will be مِنَ of ٱلْمُفْلِحِينَ the successful ones.
وَرَبُّكَ And your Lord يَخْلُقُ creates مَا what يَشَآءُ He wills وَيَخْتَارُ and chooses. مَا Not كَانَ they have لَهُمُ for them ٱلْخِيَرَةُ the choice. سُبْحَٰنَ Glory be
ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah وَتَعَٰلَىٰ and High is He عَمَّا above what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate (with Him). وَرَبُّكَ And your Lord يَعْلَمُ knows مَا what تُكِنُّ conceals
صُدُورُهُمْ their breasts وَمَا and what يُعْلِنُونَ they declare. وَهُوَ And He ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah; لَآ (there is) no إِلَٰهَ god إِلَّا but هُوَ He. لَهُ To Him
ٱلْحَمْدُ (are due) all praises فِى in ٱلْأُولَىٰ the first وَٱلْءَاخِرَةِ and the last. وَلَهُ And for Him ٱلْحُكْمُ (is) the Decision, وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned.
