سورة Al-A'raaf
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
الٓمٓصٓ
Alif Laam Meem Saad.
كِتَٰبٌ
(This is) a Book
أُنزِلَ
revealed
إِلَيْكَ
to you
فَلَا
so (let) not
يَكُن
be
فِى
in
صَدْرِكَ
your breast
حَرَجٌ
any uneasiness
مِّنْهُ
from it
لِتُنذِرَ that you warn بِهِۦ with it, وَذِكْرَىٰ and a reminder لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers. ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ Follow مَآ what أُنزِلَ has been revealed إِلَيْكُم to you
مِّن from رَّبِّكُمْ your Lord, وَلَا and (do) not تَتَّبِعُوا۟ follow مِن from دُونِهِۦٓ beside Him أَوْلِيَآءَ any allies. قَلِيلًا Little مَّا (is) what تَذَكَّرُونَ you remember.
وَكَم And how many مِّن of قَرْيَةٍ a city أَهْلَكْنَٰهَا We destroyed it, فَجَآءَهَا and came to it بَأْسُنَا Our punishment بَيَٰتًا (at) night أَوْ or هُمْ (while) they
قَآئِلُونَ were sleeping at noon. فَمَا Then not كَانَ was دَعْوَىٰهُمْ their plea إِذْ when جَآءَهُم came to them بَأْسُنَآ Our punishment إِلَّآ except أَن that قَالُوٓا۟ they said,
إِنَّا "Indeed, we كُنَّا were ظَٰلِمِينَ wrongdoers." فَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ Then surely We will question ٱلَّذِينَ those (to) whom أُرْسِلَ were sent إِلَيْهِمْ to them (Messengers), وَلَنَسْـَٔلَنَّ and surely We will question
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers. فَلَنَقُصَّنَّ Then surely We will narrate عَلَيْهِم to them بِعِلْمٍ with knowledge, وَمَا and not كُنَّا were We غَآئِبِينَ absent.
وَٱلْوَزْنُ And the weighing يَوْمَئِذٍ that day ٱلْحَقُّ (will be) the truth. فَمَن So whose - ثَقُلَتْ (will be) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they]
ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (will be) the successful ones. وَمَنْ And (for) those خَفَّتْ (will be) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales, فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ so those ٱلَّذِينَ (will be) the ones who خَسِرُوٓا۟ lost,
أَنفُسَهُم themselves بِمَا because كَانُوا۟ they were بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا to Our Verses يَظْلِمُونَ (doing) injustice. وَلَقَدْ And certainly مَكَّنَّٰكُمْ We established you
فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَجَعَلْنَا and We made لَكُمْ for you فِيهَا in it مَعَٰيِشَ livelihood. قَلِيلًا Little مَّا (is) what تَشْكُرُونَ you (are) grateful.
وَلَقَدْ And certainly خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ We created you ثُمَّ then صَوَّرْنَٰكُمْ We fashioned you. ثُمَّ Then قُلْنَا We said لِلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ to the Angels,
ٱسْجُدُوا۟ "Prostrate لِءَادَمَ to Adam," فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ So they prostrated, إِلَّآ except إِبْلِيسَ Iblis. لَمْ Not يَكُن he was مِّنَ of ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrated.
