يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
O you
ٱلَّذِينَ
who
ءَامَنُوا۟
believe!
قَٰتِلُوا۟
Fight
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
يَلُونَكُم
(are) close to you
مِّنَ
of
ٱلْكُفَّارِ
the disbelievers,
وَلْيَجِدُوا۟ and let them find فِيكُمْ in you غِلْظَةً harshness. وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ And know أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah مَعَ (is) with ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ those who fear (Him).
وَإِذَا And whenever مَآ whenever (idha ma) أُنزِلَتْ is revealed سُورَةٌ a Surah, فَمِنْهُم among them مَّن (are some) who يَقُولُ say, أَيُّكُمْ "Which of you زَادَتْهُ (has) increased [it]
هَٰذِهِۦٓ (by) this إِيمَٰنًا (in) faith?" فَأَمَّا As for ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe فَزَادَتْهُمْ then it has increased them إِيمَٰنًا (in) faith وَهُمْ and they
يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ rejoice. وَأَمَّا But as for ٱلَّذِينَ those, فِى in قُلُوبِهِم their hearts مَّرَضٌ (is) a disease, فَزَادَتْهُمْ (it) increases them
رِجْسًا (in) evil إِلَىٰ to رِجْسِهِمْ their evil. وَمَاتُوا۟ And they die وَهُمْ while they كَٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers. أَوَلَا Do not
يَرَوْنَ they see أَنَّهُمْ that they يُفْتَنُونَ are tried فِى [in] كُلِّ every عَامٍ year مَّرَّةً once أَوْ or مَرَّتَيْنِ twice?
ثُمَّ Yet لَا not يَتُوبُونَ they turn (in repentance), وَلَا and not هُمْ they يَذَّكَّرُونَ pay heed. وَإِذَا And whenever مَآ whenever (idha ma)
أُنزِلَتْ is revealed سُورَةٌ a Surah, نَّظَرَ look بَعْضُهُمْ some of them إِلَىٰ to بَعْضٍ others, هَلْ "Does يَرَىٰكُم see you
مِّنْ any أَحَدٍ one?" ثُمَّ Then ٱنصَرَفُوا۟ they turn away. صَرَفَ turned away ٱللَّهُ Allah قُلُوبَهُم their hearts بِأَنَّهُمْ because they قَوْمٌ (are) a people
لَّا not يَفْقَهُونَ they understand. لَقَدْ Certainly, جَآءَكُمْ (has) come to you رَسُولٌ a Messenger مِّنْ from أَنفُسِكُمْ yourselves.
عَزِيزٌ Grievous عَلَيْهِ to him مَا (is) what عَنِتُّمْ you suffer, حَرِيصٌ (he is) concerned عَلَيْكُم over you, بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ to the believers
رَءُوفٌ (he is) kind رَّحِيمٌ (and) merciful. فَإِن But if تَوَلَّوْا۟ they turn away, فَقُلْ then say, حَسْبِىَ "Sufficient for me ٱللَّهُ (is) Allah. لَآ (There is) no إِلَٰهَ god
إِلَّا except هُوَ Him. عَلَيْهِ On Him تَوَكَّلْتُ I put my trust. وَهُوَ And He رَبُّ (is the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne, ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great."
