do you think
أَنَّ

أَكْثَرَهُمْ
most of them
يَسْمَعُونَ
hear
أَوْ
or
يَعْقِلُونَ
understand?
إِنْ
Not
هُمْ
they
إِلَّا
(are) except
كَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ like cattle. بَلْ Nay, هُمْ they أَضَلُّ (are) more astray سَبِيلًا (from the) way. أَلَمْ Do you not تَرَ see إِلَىٰ [to] رَبِّكَ your Lord كَيْفَ how مَدَّ He extends
ٱلظِّلَّ the shadow? وَلَوْ And if شَآءَ He willed, لَجَعَلَهُۥ surely He (could) have made it سَاكِنًا stationary. ثُمَّ Then جَعَلْنَا We made ٱلشَّمْسَ the sun عَلَيْهِ for it دَلِيلًا an indication.
ثُمَّ Then قَبَضْنَٰهُ We withdraw it إِلَيْنَا to Us, قَبْضًا a withdrawal يَسِيرًا gradual. وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who جَعَلَ made لَكُمُ for you
ٱلَّيْلَ the night لِبَاسًا (as) a covering وَٱلنَّوْمَ and the sleep سُبَاتًا a rest وَجَعَلَ and made ٱلنَّهَارَ the day نُشُورًا a resurrection. وَهُوَ And He
ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَرْسَلَ sends ٱلرِّيَٰحَ the winds بُشْرًۢا (as) glad tidings بَيْنَ before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَدَىْ before *[meaning includes next or prev. word] رَحْمَتِهِۦ His Mercy, وَأَنزَلْنَا and We send down مِنَ from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءً water طَهُورًا pure. لِّنُحْۦِىَ That We may give life بِهِۦ thereby بَلْدَةً (to) a land مَّيْتًا dead وَنُسْقِيَهُۥ and We give drink
مِمَّا thereof خَلَقْنَآ (to those) We created, أَنْعَٰمًا cattle وَأَنَاسِىَّ and men كَثِيرًا many. وَلَقَدْ And verily, صَرَّفْنَٰهُ We have distributed it بَيْنَهُمْ among them
لِيَذَّكَّرُوا۟ that they may remember, فَأَبَىٰٓ but refuse أَكْثَرُ most ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people إِلَّا except كُفُورًا disbelief. وَلَوْ And if شِئْنَا We willed,
لَبَعَثْنَا surely, We (would) have raised فِى in كُلِّ every قَرْيَةٍ town نَّذِيرًا a warner. فَلَا So (do) not تُطِعِ obey ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers وَجَٰهِدْهُم and strive (against) them
بِهِۦ with it, جِهَادًا a striving كَبِيرًا great. وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who مَرَجَ (has) released ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ the two seas هَٰذَا [this] (one)
عَذْبٌ palatable فُرَاتٌ and sweet وَهَٰذَا and [this] (one) مِلْحٌ salty أُجَاجٌ (and) bitter, وَجَعَلَ and He has made بَيْنَهُمَا between them بَرْزَخًا a barrier
وَحِجْرًا and a partition مَّحْجُورًا forbidden. وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ has created مِنَ from ٱلْمَآءِ the water بَشَرًا human being فَجَعَلَهُۥ and has made (for) him
نَسَبًا blood relationship وَصِهْرًا and marriage relationship. وَكَانَ And is رَبُّكَ your Lord قَدِيرًا All-Powerful. وَيَعْبُدُونَ But they worship مِن besides Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] دُونِ besides Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ٱللَّهِ besides Allah *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
مَا what لَا not profits them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] يَنفَعُهُمْ not profits them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَلَا and not يَضُرُّهُمْ harms them, وَكَانَ and is ٱلْكَافِرُ the disbeliever عَلَىٰ against رَبِّهِۦ his Lord ظَهِيرًا a helper.
