وَمَآ
And not
أَهْلَكْنَا
We destroyed
مِن
any
قَرْيَةٍ
town
إِلَّا
but
لَهَا it had مُنذِرُونَ warners ذِكْرَىٰ (To) remind, وَمَا and not كُنَّا We are ظَٰلِمِينَ unjust. وَمَا And not تَنَزَّلَتْ have brought it down *[meaning includes next or prev. word] بِهِ have brought it down *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ the devils. وَمَا And not يَنۢبَغِى (it) suits لَهُمْ [for] them وَمَا and not يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they are able. إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they عَنِ from
ٱلسَّمْعِ the hearing لَمَعْزُولُونَ (are) surely banished. فَلَا So (do) not تَدْعُ invoke مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah, إِلَٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ another فَتَكُونَ lest you be
مِنَ of ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ those punished. وَأَنذِرْ And warn عَشِيرَتَكَ your kindred ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ [the] closest. وَٱخْفِضْ And lower
جَنَاحَكَ your wing لِمَنِ to (those) who ٱتَّبَعَكَ follow you مِنَ of ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ the believers. فَإِنْ Then if عَصَوْكَ they disobey you فَقُلْ then say, إِنِّى "Indeed, I am
بَرِىٓءٌ innocent مِّمَّا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do." وَتَوَكَّلْ And put (your) trust عَلَى in ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful, ٱلَّذِى The One Who
يَرَىٰكَ sees you حِينَ when تَقُومُ you stand up وَتَقَلُّبَكَ And your movements فِى among ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ those who prostrate. إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He هُوَ [He] ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) the All-Hearer,
ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower. هَلْ Shall أُنَبِّئُكُمْ I inform you عَلَىٰ upon مَن whom تَنَزَّلُ descend ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ the devils? تَنَزَّلُ They descend عَلَىٰ upon
كُلِّ every أَفَّاكٍ liar أَثِيمٍ sinful. يُلْقُونَ They pass on ٱلسَّمْعَ (what is) heard, وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ and most of them كَٰذِبُونَ (are) liars.
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ And the poets - يَتَّبِعُهُمُ follow them ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ the deviators. أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّهُمْ that they فِى in كُلِّ every وَادٍ valley
يَهِيمُونَ [they] roam, وَأَنَّهُمْ And that they يَقُولُونَ say مَا what لَا not يَفْعَلُونَ they do? إِلَّا Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ righteous deeds وَذَكَرُوا۟ and remember ٱللَّهَ Allah كَثِيرًا much, وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ and defend themselves مِنۢ after *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
بَعْدِ after *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَا after *[meaning includes next or prev. word] ظُلِمُوا۟ they were wronged. وَسَيَعْلَمُ And will come to know ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوٓا۟ have wronged أَىَّ (to) what مُنقَلَبٍ return يَنقَلِبُونَ they will return.
