سورة Saad
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
صٓ
Saad.
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ
By the Quran
ذِى

ٱلذِّكْرِ

بَلِ
Nay,
ٱلَّذِينَ
those who
كَفَرُوا۟
disbelieve
فِى
(are) in
عِزَّةٍ
self-glory
وَشِقَاقٍ
and opposition.
كَمْ How many أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed مِن before them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلِهِم before them *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مِّن of قَرْنٍ a generation, فَنَادَوا۟ then they called out وَّلَاتَ when there (was) no longer حِينَ time مَنَاصٍ (for) escape. وَعَجِبُوٓا۟ And they wonder
أَن that جَآءَهُم has come to them مُّنذِرٌ a warner مِّنْهُمْ from themselves. وَقَالَ And said ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers, هَٰذَا "This سَٰحِرٌ (is) a magician, كَذَّابٌ a liar.
أَجَعَلَ Has he made ٱلْءَالِهَةَ the gods إِلَٰهًا (into) one god? *[meaning includes next or prev. word] وَٰحِدًا (into) one god? *[meaning includes next or prev. word] إِنَّ Indeed هَٰذَا this لَشَىْءٌ (is) certainly a thing عُجَابٌ curious." وَٱنطَلَقَ And went forth ٱلْمَلَأُ the chiefs
مِنْهُمْ among them أَنِ that, ٱمْشُوا۟ "Continue, وَٱصْبِرُوا۟ and be patient عَلَىٰٓ over ءَالِهَتِكُمْ your gods. إِنَّ Indeed, هَٰذَا this لَشَىْءٌ (is) certainly a thing يُرَادُ intended.
مَا Not سَمِعْنَا we heard بِهَٰذَا of this فِى in ٱلْمِلَّةِ the religion ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ the last. إِنْ Not هَٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but ٱخْتِلَٰقٌ a fabrication. أَءُنزِلَ Has been revealed
عَلَيْهِ to him ٱلذِّكْرُ the Message مِنۢ from بَيْنِنَا among us?" بَلْ Nay, هُمْ They فِى (are) in شَكٍّ doubt مِّن about ذِكْرِى My Message. بَل Nay, لَّمَّا not yet يَذُوقُوا۟ they have tasted عَذَابِ My punishment.
أَمْ Or عِندَهُمْ have they خَزَآئِنُ (the) treasures رَحْمَةِ (of the) Mercy رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلْوَهَّابِ the Bestower? أَمْ Or لَهُم for them مُّلْكُ (is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them? فَلْيَرْتَقُوا۟ Then let them ascend فِى by ٱلْأَسْبَٰبِ the means. جُندٌ Soldiers -
مَّا there *[meaning includes next or prev. word] هُنَالِكَ there *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مَهْزُومٌ (they will be) defeated مِّنَ among ٱلْأَحْزَابِ the companies. كَذَّبَتْ Denied قَبْلَهُمْ before them قَوْمُ (the) people نُوحٍ (of) Nuh
وَعَادٌ and Aad وَفِرْعَوْنُ and Firaun, ذُو (the) owner ٱلْأَوْتَادِ (of) the stakes. وَثَمُودُ And Thamud وَقَوْمُ and (the) people لُوطٍ (of) Lut وَأَصْحَٰبُ and (the) companions
لْـَٔيْكَةِ (of) the wood. أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ Those ٱلْأَحْزَابُ (were) the companies. إِن Not كُلٌّ all (of them) إِلَّا but كَذَّبَ denied ٱلرُّسُلَ the Messengers,
فَحَقَّ so (was) just عِقَابِ My penalty. وَمَا And not يَنظُرُ await هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ these إِلَّا but صَيْحَةً a shout وَٰحِدَةً one; مَّا not لَهَا for it
مِن any فَوَاقٍ delay. وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, رَبَّنَا "Our Lord! عَجِّل Hasten لَّنَا for us قِطَّنَا our share قَبْلَ before يَوْمِ (the) Day ٱلْحِسَابِ (of) the Account."
