وَٱلَّذِى
And the One Who
نَزَّلَ
sends down
مِنَ
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ
the sky
مَآءًۢ
water
بِقَدَرٍ
in (due) measure,
فَأَنشَرْنَا
then We revive
بِهِۦ
with it
بَلْدَةً
a land
مَّيْتًا
dead,
كَذَٰلِكَ thus تُخْرَجُونَ you will be brought forth, وَٱلَّذِى And the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ the pairs كُلَّهَا all of them وَجَعَلَ and made
لَكُم for you مِّنَ [of] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ships وَٱلْأَنْعَٰمِ and the cattle مَا what تَرْكَبُونَ you ride, لِتَسْتَوُۥا۟ That you may sit firmly, عَلَىٰ on ظُهُورِهِۦ their backs,
ثُمَّ then تَذْكُرُوا۟ remember نِعْمَةَ (the) favor رَبِّكُمْ (of) your Lord إِذَا when ٱسْتَوَيْتُمْ you sit firmly عَلَيْهِ on them وَتَقُولُوا۟ and say, سُبْحَٰنَ "Glory be (to)
ٱلَّذِى the One Who سَخَّرَ (has) subjected لَنَا to us هَٰذَا this, وَمَا and not كُنَّا we were لَهُۥ of it مُقْرِنِينَ capable. وَإِنَّآ And indeed, we إِلَىٰ to رَبِّنَا our Lord,
لَمُنقَلِبُونَ will surely return." وَجَعَلُوا۟ But they attribute لَهُۥ to Him مِنْ from عِبَادِهِۦ His slaves جُزْءًا a portion. إِنَّ Indeed, ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ man
لَكَفُورٌ surely (is) clearly ungrateful. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] مُّبِينٌ surely (is) clearly ungrateful. *[meaning includes next or prev. word] أَمِ Or ٱتَّخَذَ has He taken مِمَّا of what, يَخْلُقُ He has created, بَنَاتٍ daughters وَأَصْفَىٰكُم and He has chosen (for) you
بِٱلْبَنِينَ sons. وَإِذَا And when بُشِّرَ is given good news, أَحَدُهُم (to) one of them, بِمَا of what ضَرَبَ he sets up لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ for the Most Gracious مَثَلًا (as) a likeness,
ظَلَّ becomes وَجْهُهُۥ his face مُسْوَدًّا dark وَهُوَ and he كَظِيمٌ (is) filled with grief. أَوَمَن Then (is one) who يُنَشَّؤُا۟ is brought up فِى in
ٱلْحِلْيَةِ ornaments وَهُوَ and he فِى in ٱلْخِصَامِ the dispute غَيْرُ (is) not مُبِينٍ clear. وَجَعَلُوا۟ And they made, ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ the Angels,
ٱلَّذِينَ those who هُمْ themselves عِبَٰدُ (are) slaves ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ (of) the Most Gracious, إِنَٰثًا females. أَشَهِدُوا۟ Did they witness خَلْقَهُمْ their creation? سَتُكْتَبُ Will be recorded
شَهَٰدَتُهُمْ their testimony, وَيُسْـَٔلُونَ and they will be questioned. وَقَالُوا۟ And they say, لَوْ "If شَآءَ had willed ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ the Most Gracious, مَا we would not have worshipped them." *[meaning includes next or prev. word] عَبَدْنَٰهُم we would not have worshipped them." *[meaning includes next or prev. word]
مَّا Not لَهُم they have بِذَٰلِكَ about that مِنْ any عِلْمٍ knowledge. إِنْ Nothing هُمْ they (do) إِلَّا but يَخْرُصُونَ lie. أَمْ Or ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ have We given them
كِتَٰبًا a book مِّن before it, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] قَبْلِهِۦ before it, *[meaning includes next or prev. word] فَهُم so they بِهِۦ to it مُسْتَمْسِكُونَ (are) holding fast? بَلْ Nay, قَالُوٓا۟ they say, إِنَّا "Indeed, we
وَجَدْنَآ [we] found ءَابَآءَنَا our forefathers عَلَىٰٓ upon أُمَّةٍ a religion وَإِنَّا and indeed, we عَلَىٰٓ on ءَاثَٰرِهِم their footsteps مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) guided."
