فَمَا
Then not
تَنفَعُهُمْ
will benefit them
شَفَٰعَةُ
intercession
ٱلشَّٰفِعِينَ
(of) the intercessors.
فَمَا
Then what
لَهُمْ
(is) for them,
عَنِ
(that) from
ٱلتَّذْكِرَةِ
the Reminder
مُعْرِضِينَ
they (are) turning away
كَأَنَّهُمْ As if they (were) حُمُرٌ donkeys مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ frightened, فَرَّتْ Fleeing مِن from قَسْوَرَةٍۭ a lion? بَلْ Nay! يُرِيدُ Desires
كُلُّ every ٱمْرِئٍ person مِّنْهُمْ of them أَن that يُؤْتَىٰ he may be given صُحُفًا pages مُّنَشَّرَةً spread out. كَلَّا Nay! بَل But لَّا not يَخَافُونَ they fear
ٱلْءَاخِرَةَ the Hereafter. كَلَّآ Nay! إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, it تَذْكِرَةٌ (is) a Reminder. فَمَن So whoever شَآءَ wills, ذَكَرَهُۥ (may) pay heed to it. وَمَا And not يَذْكُرُونَ will pay heed
إِلَّآ except أَن that يَشَآءَ wills ٱللَّهُ Allah. هُوَ He أَهْلُ (is) worthy ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ to be feared, وَأَهْلُ and worthy ٱلْمَغْفِرَةِ to forgive.
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man أَلَّن that not نَّجْمَعَ We will assemble عِظَامَهُۥ his bones? بَلَىٰ Nay! قَٰدِرِينَ (We are) Able عَلَىٰٓ on أَن that نُّسَوِّىَ We can restore بَنَانَهُۥ his fingertips. بَلْ Nay!
يُرِيدُ Desires ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man لِيَفْجُرَ to give (the) lie أَمَامَهُۥ (to) what is before him. يَسْـَٔلُ He asks, أَيَّانَ "When يَوْمُ (is the) Day ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection?" فَإِذَا So when بَرِقَ is dazzled
ٱلْبَصَرُ the vision, وَخَسَفَ And becomes dark ٱلْقَمَرُ the moon, وَجُمِعَ And are joined ٱلشَّمْسُ the sun وَٱلْقَمَرُ and the moon, يَقُولُ Will say ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man
يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day, أَيْنَ "Where ٱلْمَفَرُّ (is) the escape?" كَلَّا By no means! لَا (There is) no وَزَرَ refuge. إِلَىٰ To رَبِّكَ your Lord, يَوْمَئِذٍ that Day, ٱلْمُسْتَقَرُّ (is) the place of rest. يُنَبَّؤُا۟ Will be informed
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man يَوْمَئِذٍۭ that Day بِمَا of what قَدَّمَ he sent forth وَأَخَّرَ and kept back. بَلِ Nay! ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [The] man عَلَىٰ against نَفْسِهِۦ himself بَصِيرَةٌ (will be) a witness.
وَلَوْ Even if أَلْقَىٰ he presents مَعَاذِيرَهُۥ his excuses. لَا Not تُحَرِّكْ move بِهِۦ with it لِسَانَكَ your tongue لِتَعْجَلَ to hasten بِهِۦٓ with it. إِنَّ Indeed, عَلَيْنَا upon Us
جَمْعَهُۥ (is) its collection وَقُرْءَانَهُۥ and its recitation. فَإِذَا And when قَرَأْنَٰهُ We have recited it, فَٱتَّبِعْ then follow قُرْءَانَهُۥ its recitation. ثُمَّ Then إِنَّ indeed, عَلَيْنَا upon Us بَيَانَهُۥ (is) its explanation.
كَأَنَّهُمْ As if they (were) حُمُرٌ donkeys مُّسْتَنفِرَةٌ frightened, فَرَّتْ Fleeing مِن from قَسْوَرَةٍۭ a lion? بَلْ Nay! يُرِيدُ Desires
كُلُّ every ٱمْرِئٍ person مِّنْهُمْ of them أَن that يُؤْتَىٰ he may be given صُحُفًا pages مُّنَشَّرَةً spread out. كَلَّا Nay! بَل But لَّا not يَخَافُونَ they fear

سورة Al-Qiyaama
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
لَآ
Nay!
أُقْسِمُ
I swear
بِيَوْمِ
by (the) Day
ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
(of) the Resurrection.
وَلَآ
And nay!
أُقْسِمُ
I swear
بِٱلنَّفْسِ
by the soul
ٱللَّوَّامَةِ
self-accusing.
أَيَحْسَبُ
Does think
ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ [the] man أَلَّن that not نَّجْمَعَ We will assemble عِظَامَهُۥ his bones? بَلَىٰ Nay! قَٰدِرِينَ (We are) Able عَلَىٰٓ on أَن that نُّسَوِّىَ We can restore بَنَانَهُۥ his fingertips. بَلْ Nay!
