إِذْ
When
هَمَّت
inclined
طَّآئِفَتَانِ
two parties
مِنكُمْ
among you
أَن
that
تَفْشَلَا
they lost heart,
وَٱللَّهُ
but Allah
وَلِيُّهُمَا
(was) their protector.
وَعَلَى
And on
ٱللَّهِ
Allah
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ let put (their) trust ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers. وَلَقَدْ And certainly نَصَرَكُمُ helped you ٱللَّهُ Allah بِبَدْرٍ in Badr وَأَنتُمْ while you (were) أَذِلَّةٌ weak.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ So fear ٱللَّهَ Allah لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تَشْكُرُونَ (be) grateful. إِذْ When تَقُولُ you said لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ to the believers,
أَلَن "Is it not يَكْفِيَكُمْ enough for you أَن that يُمِدَّكُمْ reinforces you رَبُّكُم your Lord بِثَلَٰثَةِ with three ءَالَٰفٍ thousand[s] مِّنَ [of] ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ [the] Angels
مُنزَلِينَ [the ones] sent down? بَلَىٰٓ Yes, إِن if تَصْبِرُوا۟ you are patient وَتَتَّقُوا۟ and fear (Allah) وَيَأْتُوكُم and they come upon you مِّن [of] فَوْرِهِمْ suddenly,
هَٰذَا [this] يُمْدِدْكُمْ will reinforce you رَبُّكُم your Lord بِخَمْسَةِ with five ءَالَٰفٍ thousand[s] مِّنَ [of] ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ [the] Angels مُسَوِّمِينَ [the ones] having marks.
وَمَا And not جَعَلَهُ made it ٱللَّهُ Allah إِلَّا except بُشْرَىٰ (as) good news لَكُمْ for you وَلِتَطْمَئِنَّ and to reassure قُلُوبُكُم your hearts بِهِۦ with it.
وَمَا And (there is) no ٱلنَّصْرُ [the] victory إِلَّا except مِنْ from عِندِ [near] ٱللَّهِ Allah, ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty, ٱلْحَكِيمِ the All-Wise. لِيَقْطَعَ That He may cut off طَرَفًا a part
مِّنَ of ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieved أَوْ or يَكْبِتَهُمْ suppress them فَيَنقَلِبُوا۟ so (that) they turn back خَآئِبِينَ disappointed.
لَيْسَ Not لَكَ for you مِنَ of ٱلْأَمْرِ the decision شَىْءٌ (of) anything أَوْ whether يَتُوبَ He turns عَلَيْهِمْ to them أَوْ or يُعَذِّبَهُمْ punishes them فَإِنَّهُمْ for indeed, they
ظَٰلِمُونَ (are) wrongdoers. وَلِلَّهِ And to Allah (belongs) مَا what فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَمَا and what فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth, يَغْفِرُ He forgives لِمَن [for] whom
يَشَآءُ He wills وَيُعَذِّبُ and punishes مَن whom يَشَآءُ He wills. وَٱللَّهُ And Allah غَفُورٌ (is) Oft-Forgiving, رَّحِيمٌ Most Merciful. يَٰٓأَيُّهَا O you
ٱلَّذِينَ who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe! لَا (Do) not تَأْكُلُوا۟ eat ٱلرِّبَوٰٓا۟ the usury أَضْعَٰفًا doubled مُّضَٰعَفَةً multiplied.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُفْلِحُونَ (be) successful. وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱلنَّارَ the Fire ٱلَّتِىٓ which أُعِدَّتْ is prepared
لِلْكَٰفِرِينَ for the disbelievers. وَأَطِيعُوا۟ And obey ٱللَّهَ Allah وَٱلرَّسُولَ and the Messenger لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy.
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ let put (their) trust ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ the believers. وَلَقَدْ And certainly نَصَرَكُمُ helped you ٱللَّهُ Allah بِبَدْرٍ in Badr وَأَنتُمْ while you (were) أَذِلَّةٌ weak.
